On December 6, 2021, Joey called Josh and told him he wanted him to come be his Tight Ends coach. About an hour later I waved goodbye to him as he pulled out of our driveway to drive 15 hours from Tennessee to Lubbock.

Today, December 6, 2025, exactly 4 years later, our babies played in Big 12 Championship confetti.

The best 4 years!! The best team!! TTU, we love you!!

“The puppy on the football show” is how I’ve gotten Campbell to watch College GameDay with me the last couple of years. First Ben, now Peter. Every Saturday this fall when Campbell has heard the GameDay intro song she runs in the living room looking for Peter! Last Saturday I thought I made the mistake of telling her Peter was “coming to football” this week because it’s all she’s talked about all week😂 and I wasn’t sure she was actually going to get a chance to see him. I told her she could be on the lookout but Peter was a very busy puppy so we may not get to see him. Welllll, lo and behold, about the time we were leaving Dad’s office today, Peter comes prancing down the hallway! Thank you, @kirkherbstreit for letting my girl hangout with Pete for a little bit today! I may just have the happiest 3 year old in Lubbock!! 🥹❤️

While the most important thing about this weekend is our game tomorrow, I want to make sure we never take any of these moments for granted. All the extra stuff around us is just that. Extra. But it sure does mean a lot to us to be a part of such an incredible ride & adventure at the best place on earth! No one deserves it more than this team, this town, and this university!
