created during the total solar eclipse of april 2024, ‘continued transmutation’ consists of two photographs captured eight minutes apart in the texas hill country, connecting the earthly + celestial into a single, suspended moment

across cultures, cows have been associated with fertility, abundance, and continuity, while bluebonnets symbolize deep resilience and the enduring capacity of life to return and flourish : the eclipse, documented at totality, further evokes transformation, renewal, and the cyclical nature of change in alignment

The Tree of Soles is actually three trees now. No one really knows when the first shoe was thrown, but it was before Hurricane Lili, which brought the original Tree to her knees, laces tied up all around her. The souls kept coming, responding to the message “to hang your burdens” here. Your soles, that is.

• my heart hurts for the people + wildlife + land of vermilion parish + southwest louisiana as it was officially announced elon is building the *largest* rocket launch site on earth on top of this incredibly beautiful coastline of ours - these industrial developments were made in secrecy with legislative changes that overrule environmental protections for this refuge

we will literally all be affected by this in acadiana - I grieve for the ways of life + ancestral practices of those being displaced on pecan island in the name of modern day colonization. it’s hard to even fathom how our potent + unique cultural landscape is going to change because of this invasiveness, hearing acoustic resonance of 30 rocket launches per day among economic challenges + housing demand and values + foundation changes + pollution + wildlife migrations + people migrations, to say the least — 18 miles long / roughly 212 square miles of this on what has been a true paradise for so many generations

they’re receiving public comments from any and all until august 31 (link in bio) : feels like the most direct way to share your thoughts + concerns other than making some art about it : the people need it, even if this all feels like the lost cause that it is
