진짜 늦게 올려서 미안해… 한국 여름 날씨가 너무 덥고 겨울 날씨가 너무 추워서 다음에 가을 때 돌아올게 ㅎㅎ ❤️

This trip was back in July and despite the heat, I had a lot of fun visiting Korea again and spending time with friends over there! I fear I lose my Korean language skills more and more each day due to lack of time and ability to consistently practice, but I felt this trip really helped bring a lot of it back… so I’ll have to keep visiting hehe 🫶🏼 taken in South Korea by @oliviamtran

🇻🇳 - Lots of traveling, but I can now say I’ve been to northern Việt Nam! I spent New Years in Hà Nội and it was insanely packed in the streets. After, I went south to Ngã Năm where a lot of my family resides. It’s always great hanging out with my family and especially my cousins over there - I wish I could see everyone more often! We took a day trip to Bạc Liêu, which was another first time visit for me. Then I went to Sài Gòn and spent time with a couple cousins over there. 🥰 I was still scared to cross the streets in heavy traffic but I think I’m slowly getting better!

🇯🇵 - I was here only for a few hours so I was only able to walk around Ginza but from what I could see in the brief time, I know I definitely want to come back one day! And I got some delectable sushi so I was happy. ❤️ taken in Asia by @oliviamtran

🇰🇷 - It was really nice to visit Korea again! Despite this time being a lot shorter than my last visit, I was able to have a lot of fun with my besties over there! I hope I can visit again soon! 😁🫶🏻🩷 Also, something about walking to the nearest GS25 (a popular convenience store) and getting a triangle gimbap (삼각김밥) to eat just brightens my day every time.

🇹🇭 - This was my first time visiting Thailand and WOW it blew me away! Going to massive temples, malls, and markets, using herbal inhalers, meeting friendly people (sometimes even fellow Teochew speakers which was so cool), eating delicious phat kaphrao, mango sticky rice, etc., riding the subway, tuk tuks, and boats — I absolutely loved it all! I would love to learn Thai and visit again sometime. 🐘❤️ taken in Asia by @oliviamtran

three key takeaways from my first time going to korea:

1. cass is the superior beer and soju bombs are the best way to finish your bottle of nasty no flavor soju

2. the us needs to take notes from korea and improve their public transportation (among many other things)

3. seoul is too big and has too many great places that requires a lot more time than just a week 🥲 and i need even more time to visit the rest of the country
