long overdue summit & worlds (spectator edition) dump!!

officially completed my first year of coaching and my heart is so full. seeing the sport that I have loved for years from the other side has been so eye opening. I love being able to share my passion and this side of the sport is just as rewarding. I loved every moment with my j2 & s3 babies!! both teams will hold a special place in my heart as my firsts.

AND all of this with the bonus of being able to do it at a small gym that feels like the home I grew up in. i’m so grateful for @mainestars_cheergym and being able to be part of the best of the best!! bring on season 25! 🩷💜 by @oliviataranto

the time has finally come and i don’t even know where to begin. i started cheer in 3rd grade because my mom wanted me to be involved in a sport, little did we know it would become my entire life. little olivia fell instantly in love with the sport and i know she is very proud. it wasn’t easy, there were many ups and downs: season ending injuries, long days and late nights in the gym, mental blocks, and everything in between. but regardless i wouldn’t go back and change anything in my career because cheerleading has turned me into the person i am today. the coaches i’ve had and the teammates that turned into sisters have such a huge place in my heart. so to anyone who has coached me, been on a team with me, or supported me in any way, thank you for sharing the same passions as me and being a huge part of my life.

to unh cheer:
thank you for the best four years of my life. i knew my junior year of high school that i wanted to cheer for this program and it has been nothing short of a dream. this program gave me my best friends, sisters, and future bridesmaids. i am forever blessed for my time as a unh cheerleader. thank you to scott and brad for always believing in me, even when i didn’t believe in myself. you both brought out sides of me as a person and athlete that i didn’t know i was capable of. thank you for trusting me to be a leader on this team and for always having my back.

never in 1 million years would i have thought that i would be retiring as an nca grand national champion, a world champion, and a worlds bronze medalist. to all the little cheerleaders out there, dream big and always follow your heart.

goodbye cheerleading, thank you for everything <3 taken in University of New Hampshire by @oliviataranto
