My eldest is 7, and is completely sport obsessed. Watching his love for Sport has made me so nostalgic of my own experience with it growing up in the 80s and 90s. And the icons who inspired me. Not that I was particularly good!

This phase of childhood teaches you some tough but incredible lessons- that it’s not all about being the best, how important it is to work as a team, getting out there and just giving it a go, and finding joy in the simple game of it all, win or lose.
