This summer didn’t looked the way I imagined it, and this backpacking trip ruined me for weeks. The update no one asked for:

Over a year since my accident and I could not have imagined I would still be struggling this much. Healing is a funny thing and this forced slow down is challenging me in so many ways. I keep expecting things to shift back to ‘normal’ and I think it’s time to accept the fact that normal doesn’t exist in the same way. 3 Vancouver Island hikes I’ll never get tired of 🥾🌲🐾

There are so many good trails on the Island, but if I had to pick my top 3, these are the trails I keep coming back to.

Safe to say we’ve been putting a LOT of kilometres on these paws this summer, so keeping Emmy fueled with @nutrience_ kibble is a must.
