Pretty cool highlight to shoot the @arctictrucks @topgeartv Arctic Special truck at Dunsfold earlier in the year. I remember watching the episode when it aired in 2007, I was 17 had just got my first camera and didn't know automotive photography was a thing you could do.

Quick walkaround of the AMG CLE 646 Black Series. Sorry, #Spezialanfertigung. Went to the unveil on Thursday night, then drove it at Jarama yesterday. Today I believe @georgerussell63 and @kimi.antonelli are driving it to the Madrid GP. This particular car is a model, so no interior. Loads more to come on this via @topgear. Full review is going on Apple News+ and the TopGear website shortly, film should be on YT tomorrow evening. Busy weekend ahead! Cool car, but feels like it has been rushed through to stop the negging around C63 and AMG GT EV. On the salt at Bonneville with the twin engine, hydrogen powered, 4wd JCB Hydromax. Just set a new @sctabniofficial record this morning at 368mph, surpassing the 350mph mark set by the Dieselmax 20 years ago. Next week it goes for the @fia.official record. A break from the norm. This is my brother @marriagetom and my amazing niece Chloe on their adapted tandem. They ride that because Chloe has had cerebral palsy since birth. She’s now 17. She is also the living embodiment of zest for life. I’ve taken her surfing, she has sailed, climbed, been my rally co-driver, driven speed boats and even skied (I need to sort out driving for her next - any ideas?!). Starting this weekend, she’s doing something that blows all of this out of the water. She’s cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Over 1000 miles. I’m heading down to take part as well. TWR Supercat. Supercharged V12 with 660bhp and 538lb ft and a 6spd manual gearbox. That’s most of what you need to know. Oh, and it’s very, very purple. Think Silk Cut Jags and Diablo SE30. £395k plus VAT now, but a world away from an old Jaguar XJ-S. This is @twrperformance final validation car before production starts and @mark_riccioni_photo and I got the world exclusive first drive. Driving impressions under embargo until 9am tomorrow, words will be on @topgear, @magnetomagazine and @theintercooler. With the Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo at the moment, here’s a #ThrowbackThursday to when Rowan Horncastle and I went there. Not for the Olympics, but following in James Bond’s footsteps, and updating his Lotus Esprit/Olin Mark VI combo for a Lotus Exige/Head SuperShape pairing. A proper fun few days recreating the press shots and visiting the locations - the wooden clad ice rink from the film is now the Olympic curling centre. The bobsleigh track has been updated since Roger Moore skied down it and the original ski jump is no longer in use, but the Tofana Express cable car still climbs up over the women’s downhill course. If you haven’t watched For Your Eyes Only recently, do it. It beats curling. And of course we finished by having a Vodka Martini in the Miramonti hotel. A year ago. @topgear had a long term Maserati MC20. It was painted Giallo Genio, a £9650 option, which was pretty damn close to AA yellow. So we did a collab, and created a fast response vehicle. Which couldn’t carry much more than a set of jump leads and a thermos flask. I went and spent a couple of days in the Highlands of Scotland with one of the UKs most remote patrols. I got places quick, but couldn’t do much until the cavalry turned up. Still, proper fun story to do - went in Issue 395 of the mag and easily found on the TG website. Happy 200th birthday, Stelvio. To celebrate the Alpine icon’s double ton, @olliemarriage and I decided to rock up to its birthday bash in two Lambos: an original 25th Anniversary Countach and a Revuelto painted in all the colours.

However, we were severely outdone by Hans-Joachim Stuck, who arrived in his dad’s 16-cylinder Auto Union Type C — @auditradition's replica of the car his old man drove in the early 1930s on his way to earning the nickname Bergkönig (King of the Mountains).

Top Gear has had a long relationship with the Stelvio, so to go back and doff our cap in appreciation of this incredible engineering marvel was fantastic. To drive it completely closed was even better — because let’s be honest, that’s the only way you can truly enjoy it.

Carrera GT vs LFA. A massively special couple of days alongside the Danube in southern Germany with a pair of V10 icons. Carrera GT is pure Porsche motorsport fantasy land, right up there with the Ferrari F50 and GMA T.50 for outright, unfiltered driving thrills. LFA is a tribute to endless, relentless honing and engineering, a decade in development and you can absolutely tell. More civilised than the Porsche, but still so immensely tactile. So cool for @jethrobovingdon and I to get these two together and have such a corking crew to work with. These wonderful shots by @mark_riccioni_photo, and full vid on YT now filmed by @charliebrose and @a3.rud. Go dig it out. Then just slap your headphones on.
