POSTS STORIES REELS

Uh hello…since when did 800 of you get here?!? So, allow me to re-introduce myself in five (my lucky number)

I love these carousels because I feel like so much of what makes each of us unique is how varied our interests and likes are. I am willing and able to yap about any and all of what’s here, or I am just happy to yap in general, I’m a yapper, (if my extremely long captions haven’t given that away by now)

And one bonus fact, making people laugh is like pure serotonin to me. if I can get you laughing we’re going to be best friends (especially if you have a great or unique laugh.)

I am so grateful to have you all here and cannot wait to keep growing this community!!

Don’t you just love New York in the Fall? Makes you want to buy school supplies or maybe read a cozy little rom com filled with wit, heart, heat and lots of food inspo? Well I do and now that it’s officially Kathleen Kelly season (and I’m almost done with draft one) I can finally share more info about my work in progress. Honestly I can’t wait for you all to meet Hitch and Brina. Give it a good scroll and tell me if you’d add this to your tbr?🍁🍂🗽🍎. (@avenwells gets all the credit for the carousel inspo)

Are you in the market for a new book boyfriend? Can I perhaps interest you in a 6’5” broody chef with arms like pythons, tattoos for days, a wicked grin, and is wildly competent In and out of the kitchen? well darlin…meet Hitch, Look, Im not going to give him to you all at once. That would be wildly irresponsible. But if you follow me I’ll introduce you slowly, chapter by chapter, to Henry “Hitch” Hitchcock.

But since you hit follow here is what you get for free: he’s a wildly competent and internationally trained chef who recently earned a Michelin star and he’s still not sure what to do with that. He rides a vintage motorcycle that he rebuilt himself piece by piece. He’s a born and raised New Yorker who learned the city learned New York and then put the whole city on his menu. His little sister made him famous by accident and he has not forgiven her for it, and doesn’t care that she’s his self appointed social media manger, she’s not allowed in the kitchen during service. He loves his city and its people and he will feed people who can’t pay and pretend it’s about inventory. He falls first, he falls hard, and he’s exceptionally good with his hands. In the kitchen. Obviously.

Then he meets the editor of his cookbook, a woman who intrigues him instantly and who does not care one bit that he’s Somebody in the culinary world (which he loves) and cares a great deal that he can’t take a note (which he hates) You’re going to want to be here for that. Trust. 👏 Me.👏

Follow along. I’ll bring the man, the myth, the mouth. You bring the snacks. Deal?

🍅 reluctant celebrity chef
🍅 grumpy in public, golden retriever in private
🍅 he falls first (and hard)
🍅 competence kink, in and out of the kitchen
🍅 vintage motorcycle
🍅 born-and-bred New Yorker
🍅 big heart, l
🍅 ADHD, Depression, Anxiety & RSD rep,
🍅 loud, chaotic, loving Italian American family. 🍅 half Italian American, half British…hence the name
🍅 quietly terrified of being unlovable as he is. #bookstagram #bookboyfriend #fictionalmenarebetter #booksbooksbooks #writing by @olliewritesbooks

Side Quest Commence! Introducing “Cry of the Magpie,” a limited webcomic I’ve been working on this October and cannot wait for you all to enjoy!

Coming into October, I was struggling with my mental health and decided to try and participate in an Inktober challenge, and in so I stumbled across the insanely talented @mknzgmbn and her “Wildflower Knight” series (which, sidebar, if you’re not already following her, you’re missing out; do yourself a favor and follow her). I was obsessed with the style, the story, and how her art just made me want to draw again!

So I went to the bank of ideas (an index card and steno notebook collection in a Nike Shocks box from 2006) and stumbled upon this idea I wrote when I was 17:

“Colonial man falls through time, has to find his soulmate in every lifetime, has magpie spirit guide like the fairy in Legend of Zelda.” And well, here we are. I started working on developing the idea based on what I’d already written at 17 and fell back in love with these characters, and in so fell back in love with drawing for myself again and gave myself permission to explore new art styles and just have fun with an idea. I hope you’ll all love Leda and Nat as much as I do, and thank you to all of my friends who have supported and encouraged me to explore my art era and helped me rediscover a long-dormant passion. Follow the Magpie… she knows the way.

Okay, I want you to meet some people but there are ground rules okay…1) we don’t thirst over people’s dads, no matter what they looked like in the 90s, be cool. 2) Sonny is very single and very sensitive about it so we don’t make it a thing. 3) We don’t comment on Rigs biting, he’s young, he’ll figure it out…and finally and MOST IMPORTANTLY 4) we. 👏don’t. 👏like. 👏Kevin.👏 Not even a little you hear me? Kevin isn’t getting a spin off no matter how much you beg. The man has a trust fund, be serious. Okay those are the rules…capeesh? Also for sure don’t make it weird in the comments (😉) - post idea from @author.lenaking

Unfortunately, I do love…[Chip Pons Edition] ❤️‍🔥

One common theme in all of my books? Queer joy! Where the conflict & plot has nothing to do with the sexuality of my characters. Because guess what?? We deserve the rom-com shenanigans &!big HEA moments, too!
