Sometimes, you're an apex predator, but the sun is out and you're in a meadow of fireweed, so you've got to just stop and take it all in a bit. A Polar Bear taking a bit of a doze in Hudson Bay, taken whilst working on #sevenworldsoneplanet a couple of summers ago in the beautiful Hudson Bay. #wildlife #conservation #polarbear #fireweed #churchill #canada #sleepy by @ollyjelley

A final Grey-Headed Albatross chick to tail out yesterday's #worldalbatrossday posts. This one looking pretty healthy, if a bit windblown being on one of the more exposed nests in the colony. Far too many didn't make it right in front of our eyes though, and it was a horrible feeling not being able to do anything about it. Go and look up the Albatross Task Force to learn more about the problems affecting the drastically declining populations of albatross across the planet now. Next up, I'm going to start sharing some of our epic journey out to this remote and stunning part of the world on my stories and over at @o_jelley X #wildlife #nature #albatross #earthonlocation #bbc #SevenWorldsOnePlanet #conservation #wad_photocontest by @ollyjelley

Frozen Planet 2, Episode 2, 8:05pm tonight, BBC One. Here's a sneak peak from our trip to the incredible Wrangel Island, cannot wait for you to see this Ep! The sun is up, but the air is cold. Golden tundra fighting with the blue sky, what a season springtime is up here as everything slowly comes to life. Phone shot, out hiking somewhere in Norrland. #sweden #mountains #spring #vår #fjällvandring by @ollyjelley

What an incredible thing that one man's lifelong passion & drive for nature has affected the outcome of an entire planet. Is there a long way to go? Of course, but it is undeniable that however you look at it, what happens from now on has been affected significantly by simply the power of a single strong soul. Integrity, kindness and honesty that are all too rare these days, and someone to continue to look up to for a lifetime. Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough.

In the grand scheme of things, we are very very few who get to work in your world, and I'm sure I can speak for most folks when I say, we owe you everything. I have seen countless places on this planet that I wouldn't have even believed existed, filmed in most environments it's borderline possible to even exist in, locked eyes with animals of all shapes and sizes whose homes I've been allowed to visit, and made friends for life all across the world. All, one hundred percent because of this one nice fellow who happens to enjoy a bit of natural history, and thought that it would be nice to share that with people on the telly. It has been a privilege working with, for and alongside you, I hope we all continue to do you proud! #sirdavidattenborough #davidattenborough #wildlife #naturalhistory by @ollyjelley

We celebrated Valborg here in Sweden yesterday to welcome in Spring, and saw the day out with this. Happy spring everyone, hopefully some light can start to come into the world too, soon X #spring #valborg #mountain #moon #nature by @ollyjelley

Are you a winter person, or can't wait for spring to kick in properly? Out and about today in the wilder lands in the north, we've hit that time of year where each hour is a different season! #sweden #wilderness #wildlife #nature #scandinavia by @ollyjelley

There is a stillness and a true wildness out here that I've only felt in a very select few places in the world. But I'm just a picture taker, so from someone much more eloquent than me:

"When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free."

- Wendell Berry

@rossedgley faces the brutal, swirling doldrums of the north coast of Iceland in this weeks episode of the Great Icelandic Swim on @channel4 / @channel4documentaries - check it out on demand now, shot by the nicest man in TV @lukehallamdop (and that guy who mostly films wildlife, me) and amalgamated by @bigwavetv by @ollyjelley

Unfortunately I don't have my proper photography lenses with me up in Sweden yet, but the light has been so lovely this month already, so I managed a few shots when I've been out and about. Here are a few reindeer who we see fairly regularly when we're headed into civilization! Hope everyone is keep well, if you've read this far then I'll make a rod for my own back here and say there's a YouTube channel coming soon 🫣 #sweden #reindeer #wildlife #nature #hasselblad by @ollyjelley

Sweden, you are ridiculous 💙. This is literally 5 mins walk from our back door, still processing 🤯. We've lived in Bristol, UK, pretty much all our lives, and for me its the centre of the world for Wildlife Filmmaking. But it no longer pays to go on a million coffee meetings with producers etc, and the view certainly isn't worth hanging about for. Still doing the same thing, but starting up a new business out here in Sweden, diversifying, and most importantly shooting stuff for myself at long last. So much more to come, follow along! #dogs #sweden #winter #snow #mountains by @ollyjelley

( Swipe right to get closer...) I barely had any time whilst filming in Iceland this summer to shoot much dedicated nature work, so savoured the odd few places like this where I had a minute to myself to get a few frames. The alluvial plains have always fascinated me, the way they're invisible from foot but almost beyond comprehension from the air is such a lesson in perspective. Whilst this is more of just a gratuitous pastiche of work from others like @chrisburkard & @benjaminhardman it was amazing to finally see them in person. Though brief, it's always lovely to leave something more to be seen for the next trip. #iceland #glacier #vatnajokull #ísland #nature #rivers by @ollyjelley
