Thanks so much to @misbahaviorrr and co for letting me borrow your lovely guitar and bass for the set. It made not knowing what instrument I was going to play a lot less scary!

While ‘Matter Out of Place’ has sadly drawn to a close, we’re fondly reflecting on a recent sound performance by artists Roo Dhissou and Oliver Romoff. ⭐️

📌 As part of June Digbeth First Friday, artist and researcher Roo Dhissou, with immersive sound artist Oliver Romoff, performed ‘Heal, Home, Hmmm’ at the Grand Union canal.

Roo addressed and interviewed ‘the House’ through a series of scripted questions. The House, which responded through live sound and improvisation, was performed collaboratively by Roo on Esraj, and Oliver on guitar. 🎵

🏠 Throughout the live performance, both Roo and Oliver enacted versions of the House, ‘answering, reflecting and communicating’ through music rather than spoken language.
