Let me tell you what you can't see;
-Depreciating eyesight (pregnancy induced short-sightedness)
-Sensitive teeth

-Carpaltunnel syndrome
Amongst the list of many other effects of pregnancy on me.
For the Dee day, Contraction and Labour will humble you.

Please don't even compare your journey because of what you see.
Pregnancy is noone's mate and it's a life threatening and life altering journey.
Your Alterations will not look the same but just know it's there for everyone and it's beyond what you see.

5 Things I've done differently as a new mum to avoid Postpartum Depression/Anxiety.

1. GRATITUDE
I decided early to focus my energy only on counting my blessings. There are so many distractions, but choose your focus.

2. ASK FOR HELP
But not wait around for it. I'll ask for help but positioned my mind to step up rather than wait on others. Unlike my first time, I didn't slack and wait for things to be done for me. It helped me heal faster.

3. KNOW WHAT I WANT
Just as with my first, I am a detailed planner, but this time around, I stuck to my plan and didn't waver from the options or actions of others.

4. PAY FOR HELP
I learnt early to send money on errand because waiting for free help can be draining when not consistent. As a mum, you need consistency to thrive.

5. EMPLOY TECHNOLOGY
This isn't new, but automating my processes gave me more rest and peace knowing my babies were catered for even if I'm unavailable.
I'm documenting @thehomeschooledgenius once we clock 1 🎊

It's hard to believe what I was so sure I won't survive because of the hardship surrounding it all is now my testimony, and my Baby Dee will be 1 year in a few days 💃🏽

Watching PIE spin my sons around and sing over them reminds me that true anointing is gentle, joyful, and deeply fathering. And this is true for everyone around him both young and old.
This is leadership that covers generations.
This is grace that children recognize and run toward.
We love you, sir. And I love how children love you even more.

Today, as we had an early celebration, I couldn’t help but keep counting my blessings. And you know what? Despite Year 4 being the toughest yet, it has also been the BEST! 🥹

Before we name this outfit, let’s quickly clear a fit. 😏
Because sometimes, before we name what we’re wearing, we need to name what we’re carrying.
You know those valley moments that easily bring “Why me?” to your lips?
They are heavy, I know. But they were never meant for you to carry alone, and they don’t have to drown you.
Today, @lajuiren reminded me yet again that everyone has wilderness seasons.
Two mighty men’s wilderness seasons stood out to me:
Elijah, in 1 Kings 19:4–5.
Moses, in Numbers 11:15.

Then there’s you and I 😏
“I may find myself in a valley, in a wilderness, overwhelmed or struggling, but I am still carried by grace and I don’t have to carry myself.”
Be it valleys, wildernesses, heavy weights or depression,
The same God who carried them carries us too.

And in the words of my brother @gaisebaba
We call them by name and subject them to the Name above all other names.

THE JOURNEY | WALKING INTO THE PROMISE 🦅🦋✨
This month has taught me that waiting is also a journey.
I had moments when I wanted to know what comes next, when I wanted the clarity, the confirmation, the direction and the destination all at once. But God has been teaching me something deeper: I don’t need to know what comes next to remain faithful to what He is doing now.

So I have waited. I have sat with Him, listened, surrendered, and allowed Him to refine what needed refining and realign what needed realigning. And somewhere in the waiting, I realised that I wasn’t standing still at all.
I was Reflecting, Realigning and Receiving.
I was Becoming.

Perhaps this is what walking into the promise really looks like. Not rushing ahead because we are anxious about the unknown. Not forcing a door because we are tired of waiting. Not creating movement simply to feel like we are progressing. But trusting the One who goes before us.

The light is ahead, the path is unfolding and when He says move, I will move.
Until then, I will remain faithful.
One surrendered step at a time.
With Him. In His timing. For His purpose. 🤍
GOD CAN BE TRUSTED
