Sharing the full version of one of the dance films we created during Season 5, entitled “instant replay.” This project is about a sense of growing paranoia after what may have been a normal/positive interaction, where your mind twists your memory until suddenly the moment feels negatively warped and your perception of self feels monstrous.

performed by @sarahmelladance & @zoe__dances

a piece about the strange space that exists in the process of letting go of someone we thought would be in our life but no longer is, where their memory feels like a ghost, yet grieving them feels wrong. “i am humbled by breaking down.” by @olsencreativemedia

“i am letting you go”

we’ll be sharing a new dance film soon, danced by Student Members @sarahmelladance & @zoe__dances, created from the choreography in their duet initially titled “Show You a Body” from our show “Nostalgia” earlier this season. they’ll also be dancing this piece live again at our Season 5 Finale on August 1st in West Hartford CT. we are so proud of what we’ve created and we can’t wait to share the full film with you….stay tuned🤍

Throwback to one of our filmed classes from last summer danced by the beautiful @kyleigh_olivier because @garetwierdsma is teaching a filmed class this coming Monday 6/22 from 7-9pm at @ctdanceacademy !!

Monday’s filmed class will be structured very similarly to our regular open classes, and will include a full body warm up before providing ample time to learn & experiment with the choreographic combination. The only real difference is that rather than receiving an iPhone video, you’ll recieve multiple professional quality videos of your group! Groups will be filmed multiple times so that all dancers have a chance to stand in the front. That being said- just like all of our classes, no one is required to be filmed! You are always welcome to come to class and opt out of filming.

Sign up for Monday’s class at the link in bio!🪩 by @olsencreativemedia

2026 G&C ARTISTS SHOWCASE✅💐🥹✨
Wowowowwowowwwww.

Congratulations to the 12 Season 5 G&C members and 3 past G&C members + 1 guest who presented their choreography, 16 G&C dancers who performed, and to the 22 guest dancers who performed!

THANK YOU to our incredible sold out audience of 104 humans who came out to support live professional dance in CT.

Thank you to the AMAZING team of volunteers who helped with set up & break down without whom this event could not have occurred (you know who you are!!💪), and especially to @kyleigh_olivier for also handling music.

Thank you to @olsencreativemedia for capturing the day perfectly, and for helping with a million other things!!!

Thank you to @thefarmatcarterhill for the most stunning setting for this show.

The pieces presented were strong, thoughtful, and beautifully executed. The energy created was magical. Feeling so grateful!!!

We are so proud to be a company that offers this paid opportunity every season for our dancers to create & present their own work in a professional setting. The artists in our community are phenomenal, and it is a privilege to celebrate them. Congratulations everyone….until next season!🤍
