RUBY TUESDAY 29th September @BillyBootleggers

Our weekly showcase of up and coming talent from Nottingham and beyond!!

This week we have...

THE YONS
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
10.00 pm

@yonsband musical journey has followed its own singular arc, stubbornly resisting the siren call of cheap fame and short-term gain in favour of uncompromising independence and unfettered freedom to create.

After an on-o , in-out career spanning nearly four decades they find themselves in something of a limelight moment. 2025 album release Watch & Clock impressed with its forceful mix of Television, Steely Dan and Grateful Dead-esque alt country ballads and rock bangers, while the prospect of their
forthcoming 40th anniversary has got the Nottingham five-piece back in the studio, laying down new material and delving into the archive to reprise long-forgotten gems.

Surf the latest wave of the Erewash Sound while the river is in full flood.

@vinnieirvine plays the origins of guitar music, flamenco. A journey that honours the pace the guitar builders fought to establish in pomp and elitism of classical street music to the folk dances and street dances and street music of Andalusia, Flamenco.
The guitar bridged the gap between the wealthy elite class and the working class. The focus being the celebration of Adalusia and the DNA of Spanish music.
