August recap
This month was truly one for the books! Wrapped up shooting a mini-series for Canal+ directed by my boss, @stephdadet 🎬 For her, every project comes with its own unique identity about 80% of this one was shot handheld, yet every single frame was locked in with absolute precision.
@greatfelixlayo completely shifted my perspective by capturing my BTS moments fully in monochrome. Seeing myself in black and white wasn’t just inspiring; the raw energy completely rewired how I view visual concepts and made me realize how much further I want to push my creative limits.
Stepping into September inspired, grateful, and ready to create more. @kevweogunje with the gadgets #sonyfx3 #sonygmaster @sonyalphanigeria @sony by @oludareesho

Some love stories are written in words; others are captured in 4.5k large-format romance. Shooting and editing this piece for Johnvent on the ARRI Alexa Mini LF felt less like work and more like falling in love with light all over again. Every frame, every shadow, every cut—crafted with pure passion. 🎥 @arri_rental @arri #directorofphotography #filmeditor #filmeditor #tvcommercial by @oludareesho

Honored, humbled, and completely speechless! 🎬 The news is out, and our project Okeoghene has picked up a staggering 21 nominations at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) 2026 Among those, we are incredibly proud to be nominated for Best Photography and Best Editing. Making this project was a massive labor of love, and seeing our visual storytelling and pacing recognized alongside 19 other incredible categories means the world. A massive shoutout to the unstoppable cast and crew who poured their hearts into every single frame, cut, and detail. This belongs to all of us. cc: @ny_obah @okeoghenethemovie @_whales_pictures @nynanastudios #Okeoghene #TINFF2026 #FilmFestival #Cinematography #FilmEditing Nollywood IndieFilm AwardsSeason Filmmakers by @oludareesho

What an incredible run this series has had. Seeing how much the audience relates to the stories in the comments has been the best part. If you’re late to the party, all episodes are streaming now on Elozonam’s YouTube channel! Director: @elozonam DOP: @oludareesho by @oludareesho

The beautiful frames of @caroline_igben and @elijah_ogann from @okeoghenethemovie The shadows in Okeoghene were never an accident. 🌑
Myself and the Director @ny_obah made a conscious choice to lean into the darkness. We wanted a visual "purgation" stripping away the excess light to force the audience into the raw, heavy emotions of the story. @_whales_pictures and I did something with the lighting
To achieve this, I leaned on the @sonycine fx3 and @sonygmasterlenses . The low-light performance allowed us to play in the shadows while keeping the textures of the soul visible. We didn't just capture scenes; we captured a feeling also with the sound design neatly crafted by @o2thera OKEOGHENE is a BANG
