A Decade from the South, Forward: Pop-Up Exhibition of Southern Prize for Visual Arts

Presented by @southartsorg at the 3rd edition of #AtlantaArtFair, this exhibition celebrates a decade of recognizing exceptional artistic talent across the region.

The presentation spans painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and mixed media, featuring Georgia State Fellows Victoria.dugger.studio, @arts_nkolo, @olufani, and @fahamupecou.

Through personal narratives and collective histories, these artists explore themes of identity, memory, embodiment, and cultural history—honoring the South’s rich heritage while envisioning new possibilities for its future.

On view in the @freemansauctions Theater at #AtlantaArtFair2026.

It matters little what we call ourselves, it is through our actions that we know the heart. Religion is the frame, character is what exists within the frame. by @olufani

Had the priviledge of catching the Clark Atlanta University's Museum of Art powerful new exhibition Vanguard, which celebrates the rich creative legacy of historically black colleges. These remarkable institutions have been incubators of Black artistic and intellectual brilliance for over a century. Long before America would acknowledge the inherent gifts of people of African descent HBCU's nurtured and cultivated Black talent. by @olufani

When you love you should not say,

“God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am

in the heart of God.”

And think not you can direct the course

of love, for love, if it finds you worthy,

directs your course.
