GUYS I CAN FINALLY SHOW YOU

My awesome sister @margaretliseeley is publishing a book this September!!!!!!! And here are some of her lovely characters. I am literally so PUMPED.

It has been a blast getting back into drawing. As a "I GAVE BIRTH" gift to myself, I bought an iPad 7 along with an Apple pencil and then bought Procreate. AND HOLY COW it has been fun!!! And so suitable for mom life haha.

My sister's book, Silk and Sensibility, is a retelling of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility set in Ming Dynasty China. The characters here are the main characters, sisters Meilin and Ailin, the gentle scholar Enze, and the gruff but really really hot Captain Bai (the entirety of our dms about him are extremely cursed). You can actually preorder it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Bookshop. Links to the exact page are on my sister's substack, in her bio.

Hello happy people.

It's been a while.

Here's what's happened since I last posted:
- Celebrated 3 years of dating and 2 years of marriage (keep dating your spouse!!!)
- Made a video game for my university capstone
- Graduated with a degree in CS
- Became unemployed
- Had a baby
- Took several commissions to do promotional art for my sister's book
- Started worldbuilding again for stories I may or may not write

It's been a ride. I haven't been creative in a while. But now, being a mom, I want to create more and more, despite now having even less time than I did before. It may be from a new appreciation of life, I don't know. But I feel like I'm rediscovering myself.

Anyways, here's to hoping I get more stuff done and find joy in the process. Maybe I'll stop feeling brainrotted too and finally get some patience and creativity back haha. In the mean time, have the first illustration I actually completed in years, the one celebrating the birth of my beautiful baby daughter. by @omaidoggou
