At Omai Zilé, the relationship between exterior tradition and interior clarity defines the spatial narrative. Caribbean-inspired roof forms and textured materials ground the architecture in its setting, while the interiors adopt a contemporary French sensibility expressed through refined detailing and tonal contrast.

Some bungalows are characterised by light timber palettes with restrained darker accents; others explore a moodier composition of deeper woods and stone. The interplay between crisp interior volumes and lush tropical surroundings heightens the sensory experience, allowing the architecture to recede in favour of atmosphere and view.

Set within the sloped terrain of St Barth’s coastline, Omai Zilé unfolds as a collection of light-touch structures positioned to preserve privacy and frame expansive ocean views. A central pavilion anchors the experience, while scattered bungalows step gently across the site, reducing visual impact and maintaining a sense of seclusion.

Referencing Caribbean vernacular through roof lines and material expression, the architecture establishes a dialogue with its surroundings. Interiors introduce a contemporary counterpoint, balancing light and dark palettes to create contrast and depth. Together, these elements shape a guest experience rooted in landscape, climate and context.

Omai Zilé, St Barth

Contrast defines the architectural language. Caribbean vernacular rooflines and textured exteriors establish a silhouette grounded in place, while the interiors introduce a more distilled, contemporary sensibility.

Light and dark palettes are deployed across the bungalows, from pale timber tones to deeper woods and stone. This duality between exterior and interior, openness and retreat, shapes a layered spatial experience aligned with contemporary tropical living.
