Stuff I made out of wood with a scroll saw in my garage in Rochester, NY. All natural wood colors, no paint or stain (except for black MDF backers)

OK I’m calling version 1 complete before I drive myself crazy. (I stack cut all the pieces, so I have 70-something pieces ready to make a second one. But I’m gonna revise a few things). Go Bills!!

Sapele, padauk, wenge frame.

Tangentially related, I love my @seycoscrollsaw

I still have a little ways to go, but I’m taking tons of pics along the way so that when I inevitably make one tweak too many, I’ll have pics to remember the better times 😍

Black walnut, cherry, maple, ash, padauk, and wenge; all cut on the scroll saw.

Our next August 8th Summer Makers Market Vendor Spotlight features another amazingly skilled maker joining Viciously Crafty for the first time, @omar_makes_things 💀🎨☀️

Omar Makes Things creates a mix of serious and unserious wood art decorations for your home or office. 100% of our products are handmade using a scroll saw, without laser, CNC, or other computer-guided cutting tools. We also use natural wood colors to make designs without any paint, stain, or dye. taken in Neighborhood of the Arts by @omar_makes_things

Downside of working at the kitchen table is that my non-shop dog thinks there might be snacks

Currently on my bench (and by “bench” I mean “kitchen table,” because it’s 90°F where my actual bench is).

I hope all you intarsia wizards who make this look easy could sense me cursing your names this morning while cutting these out! ♥️🤬

Nothing like a quilt pattern to make me face my struggles with making consistent angled cuts 🥵📐

Prepping for June markets; want to provide buyers with some options. (For an extra fee, I’ll tell your dad you bought the “okayest” one because the “best” were already all sold out.)
