For the Exhibition “Artist as Publishers” at @klingspor_museum from 28.03.2026 - 26.04.2026

Five Years Analog traces the search for a visual language through intuitive photography made between 2021 and 2025 using a Fuji-film point-and-shoot camera.
The rapid passage of time is echoed in the flipbook format. Yet, its deliberately non-fluid motion invites the viewer to pause and look more closely. Through repetition and accumulation, fragments of the everyday, gestures, moments, and in-between come to form into my personal archive of seeing.
During the scanning process at my academy, I chose to position the film strips in a way that reveals their material sensitivity, including the edges and roll numeration. This detail is presented on the left-hand pages. by @omarasart

Unresolved Balance - Omara García

In this series, light and shadow, tension and grace shape a precise visual language marked by a quiet sense of drama. Chess references emerge subtly, evoking strategy and opposition and the sensation of being both player and pawn at once.

The work reflects a personal condition of duality: living between cultures and emotional landscapes, moving between stability and uncertainty, ascent and fall. Rather than being resolved, these oppositions are deliberately sustained, allowing imbalance to become a space for reflection.

Through a editorial structure and a controlled visual composition, the series explores duality as a lived condition—one in which elegance and tension coexist, and each image becomes a meditation on balance and harmony.

Inner Echoes - my take for Fotografia Europea 2026

They move through everyday life in gesture, language, behavior, and thought. Formed by what was never fully said or resolved, they persist as pressure — forces that build and collapse, protect and weigh, comfort and unsettle. Not memory, but echoes that demand attention, settling into the body as weight.

Through shadow work, the series observes how the unspoken continues to linger in adult behavior. A figure is held between movement and stillness, comfort and tension, attention and avoidance.
