People love to look for the “secret”, a magic supplement, a crazy crash diet, or good genetics, to reach their goals.

At 40, I can tell you right now: there is no luck involved. No peptides, no shortcuts, no steroids. In my case, just over a decade of showing up, working hard, learning, and refining my craft as both an athlete and a coach.

My routine isn’t about extremes; it’s about a smart, flexible, and sustainable training structure paired with balanced, realistic nutrition. If my body and performance look a certain way, it’s not because of a cheat code. It’s because of discipline, consistency and putting in the smart work every single day.

Another solid workout with the crew (Group C). There’s almost nothing that beats a run with my team early in the morning, all of us working together to get better every single day.

Today we had a nice workout, doing 6 reps of 4min each at threshold (around 6:00min/mi) jogging 90s in between. I felt amazing and the group looked solid, strong and smooth. I’m very proud of them.

We all have different goals, backgrounds, etc., but we share the same passion and that’s enough to work hard as a team.

The key to success? Hard work and never giving up.

After 8 marathons, a painfully close miss, and five years of chasing this dream, the @bostonmarathon acceptance email finally hit. But more than the miles and the early mornings, I’m just so grateful for the person I became during the process.

Proud of the journey, and so grateful to my teams @myolympiccoach @runningwithlucho @fleetfeetmiami coaches @ortaluis15 @hiruni_w @paxtonsmith18 @danichavesoly and friends who helped me get to where I am 🦄

Just two guys locked in, getting the work done for our next marathon @indymonumental in a few weeks😤

Getting over 50 miles this week, a bit tired and fatigued but happy with how my body is adapting and feeling. Still need to be smarter with my training/recovery, but one step at a time haha.

Kept it fun at the @cityofdoral 5K with @marcomejia and @varonaalberto today. I didn’t plan on pushing the pace too hard with yesterday’s training and tomorrow’s long run waiting for me, but when you’re running with the boys, it just happens haha.

Heavy legs and a bit tired, but I ended up taking 2nd in my age group!🥈 I felt really good surprisingly.

Loved seeing so many familiar faces, friends, teammates and our running community. Huge shoutout to my @klandestinorunners family for locking in the largest group award for the 6th year in a row!🏆

And of course thanks to my forever support crew🫶🏻 @valebuscaaa

Broken miles on the track today as @indymonumental prep ramps up🏁

4 sets of:
• 1000m @ LT pace (~6:00/mi)
• 600m @ 10k pace (~5:50/mi)

Kept it controlled with Doral’s 5K tomorrow and a big long run Sunday. Plus, balancing that Hyrox Tampa build means staying sharp without emptying the tank.

Nothing beats grinding with the crew. Big thanks to the team @myolympiccoach @runningwithlucho , teammates (GROUP C) and coaches for showing up every day!

This past Sunday Omar and I went to a full hyrox simulation with @lioncaveathletic & @hyroxbygaby ! The vibes were so high and it was so nice to finally dip my toes in hyrox training. Let me tell you! It’s no joke. Had so much fun participating and with the best partner. Can’t wait to see what we do in a couple of months when I am not on marathon legs 🤧

Another HYROX sim in the books with @hyroxbygaby at the best spot in Doral: @lioncaveathletic 🔝

Stoked on this one. @nagel.camacho and I locked in and worked smart as a team, even on tired legs after our 15 and 19 mile long runs the day before.

Excellent organization, great vibes, and an incredible environment. It was great to see so many friends, teammates, and fellow athletes competing and having fun.

I think we took first place in our category, Men’s Doubles, with an official time of 1:00:22. We had a few technical issues, but we know we can go sub-60 next time!

Huge thanks to everyone who made it happen🙏🏻
