Thank you to @theofficialactorsstudio for an unforgettable experience @thewallisbh .

Being part of the staged reading of The Indian Wants the Bronx by Israel Horovitz was already incredibly meaningful to me, but to share that experience with Al Pacino — someone I have looked up to for so many years — made it one of the greatest experiences of my life.

To be a member of the same organization, The Actors Studio, and to have Al Pacino there as its President, supporting the work, spending time with us, and getting the chance to talk and hang out with one of my heroes is something I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to Tracey R. Silver for directing us and making this experience possible, and to my fellow actors Jay Charan and @conner.piers @eddienavarro7 and all of the Actors Studio members who helped bring this reading to life. Thank you also to Jennifer Pdula, Katherine Cortez, Helen Sanders, @renerivera2023, @thebrianfoyster, @francesfisher, @benmankiewicz and to my mentor and teacher Tony Greco. 🎭

And especially, thank you to my family for coming out to support me, and to all who came, thank you for your contribution to our event and showed love.

I’m incredibly grateful for this moment, this community, and an experience I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. ❤️

I got inspired on my lunch break today, grabbed my friend’s board, and filmed a little line.
I think the inspiration came from last night hanging out and watching my 61-year-old friend “Slappy”, seeing him skate, and listening to him talk with my friend Hali about skateboarding and what it does to the soul.
That energy stayed with me.
This one goes out to my Prism fam, @cfl_atelier brothers, @seancee1 and @tinyavenger72 for giving me inspiration to get back on the board.
Thanks to @chriselizondo_ for filming and editing by @omarsalazar

// Premiere // "I still hold onto this belief that you can unlock a path for yourself to become your characters, or share their fate, almost like speaking it into existence. I’m not a superstitious person at all, but it’s something I do believe, however ridiculous it sounds."

In @kiyan.ahmadii's darkly comic short 'PIERRE THE GREAT', a simple act of hospitality descends into a chaotic night where tensions begin to spiral into heated recriminations. We speak to the self-taught director about finding humour in discomfort, trusting his characters and knowing when to let go in the edit.

GUEST BENEFIT READING OF THE INDIAN WANTS THE BRONX by ISRAEL HOROVITZ
A Post-Reading Conversation with AL PACINO & BEN MANKIEWICZ
Followed by a Reception
Sep 27, 2026. Play Synopsis: An East Indian gets lost on his first day in New York as two teenage punks find him waiting at a lonely bus stop. He cannot understand English, and the boys have some fun with him - at least it starts out as fun. But little by little, as the minutes go by and the bus doesn’t come, they get bored; then annoyed, then vicious.

The play premiered in 1966 at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut. In 1968 it then transferred to The Astor Place Theatre in New York City. The play was the start of an amazing career for Al Pacino. He went on to win an Obie Award for his work in the role of Murph.

Cast : Jay Charan “the Indian”, Omar Salazar as “Murph”, Conner Piers as “Joey”.
Directed by Tracey Silver, Stage Directions:
Eddie Navarro, Music by Neelamjit Dhillon. For more info and tickets hit the link in my bio. 🙏🏽 by @omarsalazar

DoomSayers production’s “Phone Home”. Lost & found 20 years later from around the world with some of the best skateboarders and never before seen video from 2005 from Nike SB “nothing but the truth” and meeting etc. A project I’m attempting to unravel. Just need to figure out how to get it off the tapes. 📹📼. by @omarsalazar
