What a wonderful experience at Tala. Chef Henry Onesemo takes you on an intimate journey through his homeland of Samoa and elevates the cuisine with creativity and grace. The service was great and each course was crafted with intent and preciseness.

The traditional Samoan hand washing ceremony ‘apa fafano’ performed by Chef Onesemo and the Tala staff to his special guests is a demonstration of honor and respect. It makes you feel loved and accepted into his family.

The wine pairing of local New Zealand wines was delectable and well thought out.

This delicious chef tasting welcomes everyone into one big family and makes this vast world smaller. The Worldtimer was the prefect timepiece for this culinary adventure half way around the world.

I have always admired this watch for many, many years. I was finally able to obtain one, thanks to Jordi and Rene at the Copenhagen Omega boutique.

The center of the dial is etched in titanium and laser abated for the blue ocean leaving a relief of the continents. The detail is incredible and pictures do not fully capture the depth of the center disc.

It is powered by a Co-Axial movement originally invented by the legend George Daniels, and then industrialized by Omega.

It is a true GMT, or “flyer” GMT, as some call it, as well as a world timer. The vertical teak lines etched in a sunburst blue dial is stunning.

JATAK

What an incredible experience dining at Chef Jonathan Tam’s Michelin Star restaurant. His blending of Cantonese and Vietnamese flavors is inspiring. Even had the privilege of trying new dish that night, local eel spring roll (which was delicious)!

JATAK staff who helped serve us, Romana, was wearing a Chopard Happy Sport! A gift from her father.

Thank you Chef Tam for a wonderfully memorable experience!
