We bought a house! 🏠

A dream that for many years seemed wildly out of reach is now a reality.

My parents moved to the U.S. from Chile when I was a kid, and like many immigrant families, they came with a lot of dreams and not a whole lot of money. For years and years, they worked hard to give me and my siblings a good life. But despite all that hard work, they never really had the opportunity to own a home in America.

Collin’s family also worked hard to build a good life, but homeownership always remained out of reach.

So this moment means a lot to both of us.

After years of saving, a whole lot of work between the two of us, and the support and guidance of so many friends, we are thrilled to reach this incredible milestone in our lives.

This house represents a lot to us, but at the center of it all, it represents years of work, sacrifice, focus, and the dreams our families carried with them.

We feel incredibly lucky to call this little piece of Washington, DC ours, and we cannot wait to share it with friends and family! ♥️ taken in Washington, DC by @omfgio

Earlier this year, I traveled back to the homeland. On this trip, I explored corners of Chile I had never known, walking (and rafting and galloping) through places I never saw as a child before we moved away. Chile has it all: volcanoes that rise above the clouds, rivers that carve through the land, hills that roll on endlessly, and beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. Every landscape has its own enchantment, and every time I think of them, I feel so proud to be from such a beautiful place. 🇨🇱 taken in Chile by @omfgio

WorldPride DC 2025 was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had the privilege to be part of.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first Pride celebration in Washington, DC, and to honor this historic milestone, we transformed the nation’s capital into the LGBTQ+ capital of the WORLD! 🏳️‍🌈🌍

Pulling off a Pride parade, a free concert and festival, and dozens of other events is no small feat in a typical year. But this year, against the backdrop of an increasingly hostile political climate, the challenges were even greater.

And yet, if there’s one thing the LGBTQ+ community knows how to do, it’s push forward against seemingly insurmountable odds.

This year, I witnessed our community show up like never before: creating new spaces, building meaningful connections, and celebrating loudly, joyfully, and unapologetically.

I am ridiculously proud of what the @capitalpridedc team, along with our friends from all across DC, was able to accomplish.

When I set out to explore new corners of Latin America solo earlier this year, Colombia was at the top of my list. After some research (and a lot of crowdsourcing), I landed on a little sampler: Medellín, Cartagena, and Bogotá—a sliver of the country’s richness. I quickly fell in love with Colombia’s rich colors, vibrant energy, unique landscapes, incredible food, and the warmth of its people. The country is simply like no other in the world.
