Flashback Friday…...

Reflecting on The Comfort Revolution, organised by @bergerpaintsng where we explored innovative solutions for cooler, healthier and more energy-efficient buildings.

The keynote speaker, @ibukunawosika spoke about innovation as a catalyst for sustainable growth, highlighting the influence of women and children in shaping decisions about solutions for the home.

On a personal note, I finally had the opportunity to thank Mrs. Awosika for writing me a recommendation letter two years ago, even though she did not know me personally. That act of kindness meant so much to me. Thank you once again, Ma. ❤️

I was also honoured to participate in the fireside chat, expertly moderated by @ayoibaru, on “Architecture, Climate and the Finish Nigeria Deserves.”

Seated beside my brilliant sis, the President of @idan.ng @jacquelineaki, I brought the climate and sustainability perspective to our discussion, exploring how the finishes we specify affect occupants’ health and wellbeing, as well as the environment.

Our choice of finish carries consequences beyond appearance. Its composition, application and durability can influence indoor air quality, maintenance needs and environmental impact throughout its life.

As designers, we have a responsibility to look beyond the colour palette and ask: What are we bringing into our buildings, and how will it affect the people who use them?

Thank you, @bergerpaintsng, for creating space for this important conversation and congratulations on the product launch

A new chapter, birthed by grace.
A beautiful journey, led by God.
A purposeful path, illuminated by His faithfulness.

This is more than a birthday—it is a testimony. A celebration of how far His grace has carried me, how faithfully His hand has guided me, and how consistently His promises have sustained me.

I step into this new year with a grateful heart, renewed purpose and joyful expectation for all that lies ahead.

Grace brought me here.
Faith will take me forward.
God will receive all the glory.

Happy World Omoyemi Day! 🥂✨

Receiving the Presidential Award for Diligent Service at the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) National Secretariat is a true honour.

I'm grateful for the two-year opportunity to serve alongside the Institute's Executive Council.

This appointment was a transformative experience that began with a title and ended with lasting impact. I appreciate the chance to serve, contribute, and grow.

I'm thankful for the leadership of the 30th President of the Institute, our dear pearl president @mobolajiadeniyipnia, and the distinguished Honorary General Secretary - Arc. Chike Ibeanu FNIA. Thank you for believing in me and for this great honour.

Here's to continued excellence and impact. ✨🏆 taken in FCT Abuja by @omoyemi_oo

"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." - Isaac Newton

The UNIDO Global Cleantech Innovation (GCIP NIGERIA ) Programme@gcip_global @unido_org wrapped up in grand style with the National Forum and Award Ceremony. Indeed, a celebration of Innovation, collaboration and the growing potential of Nigeria's Cleantech Ecosystem.

For ten weeks; i served as a Startup Advisor in the 3rd cohort of this accelerator programme which focused on SMEs that deploy cutting-edge Cleantech products. In this case, the startup leveraged on transforming waste into ceiling tiles as a way to improving the indoor air quality and as part of green building technology.

It was an enriching journey for me as I provided insights and guidance towards the business growth and success as its aimed for new heights.

Thank you to the @cchubafrica team for bringing me on board for this landmark opportunity and special thanks to their Nigeria team.

Congratulations to the National winners as you continue to drive sustainable change in Nigeria.

Dresden. Dialogue. Determination.

The UNEP GlobalABC Assembly 2025 brought together 150+ visionaries from governments, private sector, academia, and civil society under one bold theme: “Building for a Resilient Future.” And I was honored to be in the room where it happened.

From thought-provoking plenaries to hands-on workshops, the Assembly was a masterclass in climate leadership, innovation, and collaboration. Conversations weren’t just inspiring—they were actionable, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the global built environment.

Did you know? The global real estate sector holds over 50% of the world’s wealth—yet we’re still playing catch-up with climate-conscious practices. The time for “trendy sustainability” is over. The time for intentional transformation is NOW.

Africa stood tall in the room, with powerful contributions from across the continent. Proud to see Nigeria is leading efforts in this sector with the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Scorecard project for the built environment through the Green Building Council Nigeria. @gbcn_ng

The powerful closing remark that echoed in my mind as we wrapped up: “Implementation. Implementation. Implementation.” as beautifully captured by Brazilian Minister of Cities, Ambassador Antonio da Costa e Silva (our host for #COP30)

The next line of action is to bring these insights back home and work towards BUILDING better—for people, planet, and prosperity. 💪🏾

Huge thanks to @unep @globalabc and all the amazing sponsors for making this gathering unforgettable.
