Client: Kiran
Trainer: @rohan_carlo

At age 9 when I lost my vision, I had to stop swimming and playing cricket. From around 10 to 16 years of my age, I was on a fat increasing journey. I faced a lot of bullying - so I would eat a lot to ease the stress, with zero passion to get fit or healthy.

I didn't worry about myself mentally and physically for a very long time. I felt it was okay and I didn't want to step out - I was looking at only the negative side and not the positive at that particular age of mine.

My mother was always at my support and she told me once to give the gym a shot. Initially I was very scared because I was not doing physical activity for a very long time, especially with weights for the first time in my life. I didn't want to end up dropping weights on myself or getting injured.

Then started my love for weight training in 2017. In between 2017 till Dec 2024, I managed to learn the basic lifting and successfully lowered my weight to 90KG from 120KG. Everything went smooth. Weight training gave me the confidence to be myself. I realised that being unhealthy and unfit is not okay - I need to be fit; I need to be sharper and the gym registered in my life forever.

In 2025 Jan, I came down to Mangalore for family commitments. I visited OMR for a regular gym membership. Hardly did I know, meeting Rohan at OMR was going to be a life changing experience. He envisioned a fitness goal for me.

This is not just a journey from 90KG to 76KG in 5 months. This is a journey, that filled me with courage to lift weights that I never imagined, the movements I never tried in ages, and the mental training I never experienced. I learnt a lot about my body, mental well-being and grew stronger. I learnt weight training & quantified eating under Rohan's guidance.

My approach towards work changed and my stress levels reduced. I saw the benefits of muscle building and having a passion apart from work.

I may not be able to see my own transformation. But I am feeling and living it. Both physically and mentally. Every single day.

Thank you team @omrmangalore and my fitness mentor @rohan_carlo and his team. Thanks to @liftwiththee as well. by @omrmangalore

“If I can start at this age, so can you.” ❤️

What made Susanna Mendonza finally take her fitness seriously? What made her choose ONE MORE REP? And what has kept her going?

Her answer is simple: Consistency is key.

As a senior citizen, Susanna’s journey is proof that fitness doesn’t have an expiry date. You don’t need to be young, athletic, or already fit to begin. You just need to take the first step — and keep showing up.

With a great gym environment and trainers who supported her throughout the journey, ONE MORE REP became more than just a place to work out.

It became a place to build consistency, confidence, and a healthier version of herself.

Her message is simple:

If she can start, so can you.
It’s never too late. 💪❤️
