Every year I drive around the block before the Daddy Daughter Dance. It’s to show Cecily how this is all supposed to go. To show her a gentleman. Then she walks down the stairs and I see her outfit for the first time. She loves it so we do it every year! 🥰This was supposed to be our final year of the school hosted dances… so I got her a little surprise. Since Since we moved to Hudsonville a few years ago, I saw this magazine featuring families in the area and thought it was so fun that they did that! Whether you call it an Apple Orchard or Pumpkin Patch we did it all today 🤣. A day filled with Apple picking, getting our Halloween pumpkins, and not getting lost in the corn maze. 😬

I promised myself I wasn’t gonna cry… 🥹

This was going to be a thank-you post to our #iHeartPartner @veurinksrv for taking care of my camper winterization as part of our partnership.

However, I’m full of gratitude and overwhelmed with appreciation for a family, a team, a partnership, and most importantly, friends… that I had to share that instead.

This is the culture at Veurinks. They didn’t just do this because I’m the radio guy. They care. They look out for anyone who walks into their building, and even more so after they leave.

Yes, you should buy a camper from them. Because they care.

Yes, you should get your winterization done by them. Because they care.

And yes, you should do your fall maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and stock up on any end-of-season camping parts and accessories… because they care.

Here are some of our favorite family Halloween costumes over the years. Including the first time ever I agreed to a couples costume before we even were a family. I will say it didn’t take much convincing 😍 You might not guess this but I was the one pushing for family costumes early on!!

Pumpkins 🎃 with police 👮‍♂️ in Rockford!! The kids wanted a picture from the back of the cruiser… I said no you don’t. 🤣 Candy, painting pumpkins, and hayrides… A great way to kick off our first costume adventures.

Holy cow it actually happened!!!! I am gonna get every penny out of our Halloween costume this year! Manifested the most amount of Michigan Halloween events possible for adults and for the family. You will see the Mario crew all over Michigan 🤣🤣 🎃 We have something all month and few of them we are emceeing so you should come join!

Remember that time I broke down in tears at parent-teacher conferences… We had our first conferences for our little Middle Schooler, Cess. These are the exact comments we heard from every teacher.

She is incredible to have in class. She has an energy and an attitude about her that just light’s up the class. She’s always engaged and interested in being involved. She has a high attention to detail and always has to give 100% at whatever she does. Creative. Smart. Driven. Already doing things at a 9th-grade level. She is going to do big things someday.

I bawled. Probably not the time for it, but we are so proud. Everyone goes into parenting just doing your best. You fail. Sometimes things work. You learn and grow yourself. Then you stay up late at night wishing you could redo it all. You watch them grow. You hold on to moments. In elementary it’s about building the heart. Now we are working on the mind….and she’s absolutely crushing it….. Cess don’t let up. Go conquer the world! taken in Hudsonville, Michigan by @onairmike
