i used to get stressed when people asked me my 5-year plan, thinking it had to be impressive, career driven, “hustling” & always striving for more.

now i just hope it feels gently magic ✨📖☕️🦋🌿🌊

more good books.
quiet mornings.
a regulated nervous system.
time with people i love.
a cat curled up beside me.
& an ordinary life that i don’t want to rush through.

i think that’s enough x

Thought it was time to introduce myself 📚🌙✨🐈‍⬛🐛

Hi friends! I’m Sophie, a 28 year old reader, teacher, & dancer who believes there’s no such thing as too many books. I love romantasy, thrillers, cosy reading days, & chatting about stories that stay with you long after the last page.

My mission is simple: helping children and adults discover the joy of reading - opening doors that stories can unlock, especially ones that may have felt closed before. Books have the power to change lives. I’m passionate about sharing that magic here & supporting parents on that journey 🤍

Thank you so much for following along, it honestly means the world!

Drop a hello below and tell me your latest read so I can get to know you too!

THIS is the power of reading aloud 🩷📖

I always tell parents that daily reading should NEVER just be “read 3 pages of your school book to me”. In order to raise readers, we NEED to let them listen to us reading, so they can really get lost in worlds & good stories (& yes, get shocked by those plot twists 😂)

Book is Rabbit & Bear series by @julian.gough & @_jimfield & it’s such a great introduction into chapter books for littler minds 🤎🐰🐻

I adore my job & my heart is so full of love for every little one who walks through my classroom door, year after year 💛
But this is your reminder that there’s a human behind the smiles & waves at the door. Some mornings, that welcome started with closed eyes & a deep breath that you never saw.
Show your teacher some kindness, grace, and appreciation today and always 🍎✨🫶🏽

AD ✨ Some worlds we never really leave… 📖🌙

Creating videos for brands I believe in has been so much fun, & @faeandme “Enchanted” collection lets you carry the stories that mean the most to you close by 💫 It’s exactly what I want to do here: keep imagination alive & find magic in the everyday ✨

Which story would you want to carry with you? ✨💌

September is officially cosy reading season 🍂🕯️🌙✨🧡 This is your sign to make your current read a little more whimsical! Parents, these would be so much fun to do with your little readers too. Sometimes, a lil quest is all it takes to spark joy again for storytime!

Which autumn reader quest are you choosing first: the cozy, witching hour, autumn air, resurrected read, or fictional feast? 👀

How else do you add whimsy? Tell me in the comments, so we can all steal some autumn reading inspo 🧡

Ms Dolly Parton 1946–2026 🕊️ Absolutely heartbroken to lose such an icon. Not only a gift to music, but a gift to so many children who discovered the magic of books because of her ✨📖👏🏼

Through her Imagination Library, Dolly helped put millions of books (over 3 million!) into the hands of little ones, nurturing a love of reading, imagination & stories from their birth until their 5th birthday. A queen who used her success not only to entertain the world, but to make it a kinder, brighter & more book-filled place 💕

Her songs will live on, her stories will live on & somewhere tonight, a child will be falling in love with their new book because Dolly believed they should have one 🤍📚🕊️

Rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for everything…#dollyparton #dollypartontribute #ripdolly #childrensbooks #imaginationlibrary by @onceuponalittlemind
