It’s here 🎉🎉🎉🎉 the story that knows your child.

Their favourite things. Their best friend from nursery. The lesson you’ve been trying to land all week, slipped quietly into the plot. Grandma too, if she fancies a cameo.

A few taps and tonight’s bedtime story is written for one reader only. Their name on the cover. Their story inside. All that’s left is to read it together.

There are lots of personalised books out there. We wanted to make something personal. One they can keep forever.

Once Upon a Me is on the App Store and Google Play. Start for free, link in bio.

The workshop is open and storytelling just for personal 🎉🎉🎉🎉

After months of building, testing and reading far too many bedtime stories out loud, Once Upon a Me is officially live.

Tell us who the story is for. What they love, who they love, and what you’d like them to learn. Then watch a book appear that has never existed before and never will again.

Download Once Upon a Me on the App Store or Google Play. Your first page is free, link in bio.

Some children read stories. Some children live in them.

Every Once Upon a Me book is written for one child only. Their face, their world, the things they love and the things you hope they’ll learn. Made exactly for who they are, and who they are becoming.

Thanks to our little superstar for the test run @godigitalwithsaniya 🥰

Launching very soon! Link in bio

Bedtime excuses, ranked by a rabbit who’s heard them all.

Number 1 is fair enough, honestly.

The full countdown, for anyone doing bedtime right now:
4 - “I need a wee.” (It’s the third one.)
3 - “My sock feels loud.” (Same sock as yesterday… Why are they loud?)
2 - “I forgot to tell you something really important.” (It was about a worm.)
1 - Swipe to the end. We’ll allow it.

Every parent knows the bedtime stalling routine. Lights off, door nearly closed, and then a tiny voice with one more thing. Some are classics, some - ridiculous, some are pure genius, and some we still can’t argue with.

At Once Upon a Me we make bedtime stories starring your child, so the last excuse of the night might be the one you’re happy to hear.

Which one gets you every time? Drop yours below 😅 Pip is answering the best ones tonight.

Meet Grumpscale, the most fearsome beast in our bedtime stories. All 42cm of him. 🐉

He practises his roar alone in a cave every night, and everyone who hears it says “oh, how adorable”. He would like you to stop laughing.

Some facts about Grumpscale, for your own safety:
His scowl never switches off, even when he’s in a lovely mood.

His wings are far too big for him, so he looks a bit off balance whenever he’s cross.

When he breathes fire, out comes one tidy, sincere little puff.

He carries a fearsome-expression instruction manual in his belt pouch. The corners are scorched from practice.

His catchphrase is “I am a FEARSOME BEAST.” Nobody has been frightened yet.

Every house has one. The small person who stomps off with a thunderous face, announces they are VERY cross, and is giggling again in four minutes. Fierce on the outside, a big softie underneath.

Grumpscale is one of the characters who can turn up in a Once Upon a Me bedtime story, starring your child. Swipe to the end for his catchphrase.

Tag the Grumpscale in your house 😅

Meet Barnaby.

Pip has been wanting to introduce this one for a while.

Barnaby is the gentlest giant in our stories. He’s a little taller than your front door, has the softest face in the forest, and never touches his honey without offering it round first.

He once spent the hardest winter on record keeping a lost wolf pup warm in his den. Nobody asked him to. He just did.

So when a story needs a friend for the hard bit (first-day nerves, a new baby, a big move), Barnaby has a habit of wandering in.

Save this one for a wobbly night. 💛

No words needed. Just a child, a book and the rest of the world switching off for a while.

Every night, millions of children hear a bedtime story. Almost none of them are about the child listening.

Someone else’s name. Someone else’s adventure. Someone else’s face on the page. Wonderful stories, just not theirs.

We thought at least one book on the shelf should know exactly who’s being tucked in.

So we made it.

A story made around them and everything that makes them, them. ✨

Add their name, photo, interests and the lessons that matter. Bring a friend or sibling along for the adventure, then choose how they read, listen and experience their story.

And when one becomes a firm favourite? Take it from screen to shelf as a premium A4 hardcover book, printed and shipped worldwide. 📚

This is what storytime looks like when it truly belongs to them.

Once Upon a Me is launching soon. Which feature are you most excited to try? 💫

Best friends in real life. Best friends in the book 🧑‍🧒‍🧒

You can add a sibling, a cousin, or their favourite person from school straight into their story.

And it doesn’t stop at people. The dog can come. The scruffy teddy that goes everywhere can come. If it matters to them, it belongs in the story.

Tell us in the comments: who would your little one put in their book first? 👇

The workshop opens this week so you can try it out for your little one ✨

We asked the experts a very serious product question: what superpower should be in your next book? 🤔

The findings: super speed, fire power. And one expert who is still thinking about it.

Honestly, better than any brainstorm we’ve ever run.

In their book, they choose the powers and learning lessons. They tell us what their hero can do and Pip builds the story around it, and suddenly they’re the fastest, bravest, fire-controlling legend their bookshelf has ever seen.

The workshop opens this week. Their next book is waiting for its superpower ✨

After months of building, testing, and reading every story out loud more times than we can count, Once Upon a Me is almost here.💃🏻🎉

What that means for you: an app where you tell us about your child, and our story engine “Romie” gets to work. Their name, their face, their world, their values. The only personalised story they could buy that actually captures who they are in digital or printed keepsake.

The first day of school. The new baby. The big feelings. The questions that start with “why”. There’s a story for all of it, and your little legend is the hero of every single one.

Next week doors open and we can’t wait to let you inside! 🎉

Join the waitlist now, link in bio, and you’ll be first through the door 🚪✨
