I’m enjoying this color combo for the time being. I typically don’t lean towards this strap because it doesn’t taper from the lugs to the buckle like my other Barton Elite silicone straps.

Nonetheless, still a great strap... and the watch is pretty cool too lol

First time experiencing a Hyrox!

My lovely partner worked her tail off the past 12 weeks in preparation for her first Hyrox. I must say, being in this atmosphere has lit my competitive fire!

Tuesday’s choice...

On wrist is the Casio Duro MDV106-1A

When wearing a quartz movement there’s something so satisfying to watch the seconds hand actually hit the markers. Casio consistently nails this while others... meh, not so much.

I recently picked up a few 22mm Benchmark leather straps for my Garmin Venu 4 and love this brown/black combo! It’s DEFINITELY better than the original strap that comes with the Duro.

Have to love this time of the year! Almost every week we choose to go grocery shopping late Friday evening and everytime we say “let’s just go on Saturday...” we are quickly reminded why Friday is ALWAYS best haha

NWA!🚨

On wrist is the Garmin Venu 4 - 45mm on a Barton Elite silicone strap

It’s funny because I never planned on having a Garmin watch. I’ve been a big fan of the Oura ring to track my steps, sleep, recovery etc

The battery on my Oura was giving me problems (the second one to do this) and I thought to myself “maybe it’s time to give Garmin a shot?”

I know PLENTY of people who rave about their Garmin watch so with the timing of my Oura battering giving out and my buddy offering me a deal I couldn’t resist on the Venu 4... the rest is history as they say!

First impressions:

- For the life of me I couldn’t decide whether I wanted the silver stainless steel or this black stainless steel. I think the black was a better choice for what I intend to use the watch for

- Lot’s to learn about operating this unit to its full potential

- For what this watch cost, I was not impressed with the band. It felt cheap. I immediately swapped it out and it will never see the light of day again. I also recently ordered several CTS FKM straps which I’m SO excited about!

To wrap this up, I’m making everyone a promise...

I WILL NOT be the guy who wears this watch to every single occasion! If you’re reading this and you wear your fitness/smartwatch to everything... stop it right now. Go buy yourself a nice quartz or automatic watch, please.

As crazy as this sounds, this is the only San Martin in my collection. Obviously that needs to change!

With their attention to detail, case and bracelet finishing, movement choices, original and homage designs, price... VERY hard to beat. They could possibly be the best in the budget watch industry.

Weekend errands...

First stop was getting food for our furry family members then food for us!

On wrist is the Pagani Design PD-1690 on a Barton Elite silicone strap.

This watch is an homage to the Rolex Oyster Perpetual.

It hasn’t had much wrist time in the year or so that it’s been in my collection. Now that I’m wearing it today I’m questioning why I don’t wear it more often.

Do you have watches that you kind of “forget” about and then you’re pleasantly surprised when you wear it again?

If you haven’t tried these Barton Elite silicone straps, you’re missing out on quality and comfort. I love that they taper down to the buckle and also have a locking design so the tip isn’t flopping around (see last 2 pics).
