Well hello Instagram, it’s been a while. I never posted about the Corvette I owned for 7 months in 2025 so here goes:

It was a C6 Grand Sport, meaning it had the Z06 widebody but you could still take the targa top off. Dry sumped LS3, bigger brakes than the base model, better suspension, shorter final drive, the whole 9 yards.

Just look at the thing. Its presence on the road was remarkable. Low, wide, menacing. Even with the manual it did 60 in under 4 seconds. One of my favorite things to do was drop it into 3rd on the highway and teleport in front of the people I was trying to get around 😂

My example was on shitty 320tw Hankooks (and being that I wanted to spend as little money as possible on this car I didn’t swap them for something more my speed) which really let the experience down. Immense understeer, numb steering. Oodles of rear grip with 325’s on the back.

I sold the car because the Miata was just more fun to drive. The Corvette’s straight line party trick got old pretty fast. I do believe the car would have been much more fun with tires and a more aggressive alignment, maybe I’ll get to experience that one day.

But that thing was comfy. It could eat up highway miles like no one’s business. Typical GM creaks and rattles but there’s just something cool about riding around in a rocket ship on wheels, with a heads up display from 2011.

The transmission was also so-so. After experiencing the T56 in the early LS2 cars, the TR6060 felt nowhere near as special. Higher effort, lower fun.

Oh, and the clutch master cylinder gave out on me right after topping out 4th on the highway (in Mexico). I’ll never forget floating gears to take an exit and pushing the car to safety with the help of some kind strangers. Thank goodness it wasn’t the slave or @sl0w_af and my wallet would’ve both been in for a terrible time.

Overall I had a great time with this car. Wasn’t special enough to keep but damn if it didn’t put a smile on my face. My take? Get an early car. Just a base will do, that LS2 with the T56 is a sweet sweet pairing. And you’ll spend half of what I did. by @one.car.solution

3 months & 5000 miles in this thing. What started out as a cheap daily has been so good it’s ruined so many other cars for me. Modern amenities, a dead quiet cabin, sublime ride quality, great sound system, and to top it all off a super smooth naturally aspirated V8. Not to mention it gets decent fuel economy and 500 miles of highway range on a single tank.

20 years later, everything works. Everything. German cars could never 😂

Genuinely don’t know what you could get at this price point that checks all of the boxes. Any “upgrade” would cost multiple times the amount you’d spend here. Go do yourself a favor and buy an old Lexus. by @one.car.solution

first time at laguna was a success 🔥

put down a 1:46 on new pavement, pretty happy with that but i have a LOT to improve on

1. how is it even possible for a car to be this gorgeous
2. an extremely unreliable car and an old bmw
3. my 1:46 lap (for which the gopro was not working 🙄)
4. a decently quick lap from the previous session with a couple overtakes (also botched turn 11 so bad)
5. me overcooking tf out of turn 2 and channeling my inner keiichi tsuchiya to save it taken in Laguna Seca Raceway by @one.car.solution
