New music up on Bandcamp for free !! Because music is for fun. This tune has been kicking around for a while. A blend of funk, 80s electro and weirdness. @andy_kravitz on drums and funky as always lots of korg ms20 and roland space echo adding to the haze by @oneeramusic

We 1st met dynamo producer / DJ / record label man @spooki_ at @empiredance song writing camp - but we were already familiar with his slick #nudisco productions. We invited him to collaborate on our FSQ x Spooki remix for @thegyptianlover + @soulclapofficial’s HAI KARATE. Spooki delivered a remix with punchy horn 🎺 stabs, disco 🪩 strings + wah wah guitars 🎸 then FSQ’s @oneeramusic ( aka @hougahn ) took the OG electro beat + moved it towards the discotech laying down 🥁 a James Brown JB’s Clyde Stubblefield funky drummer type beat on live drums. Our team up here landed our remix on @magnetic_magazine 15 Best Disco & Funk Tracks of April 2025 by @oneeramusic

“Keep Funkin’ For The World (FSQ Remix)” for #NonaHendryx + @soulclaprecords_ 11 year anniversary compilation, released in 2023.

“I started with this real Stax records type of groove to build around the original vocal riffs, and worked that out with a bass line and fender Rhodes. I then took those Memphis sounds north to downtown disco NYC town with a Roland Juno 106 synth line that plays off rhythm and melody of Nona’s main vocal. I cut all that in a small studio in Silverlake, Los Angeles and I sent all that to Matt @oneeramusic who replayed the bass (but left in a few of my plucks), added guitars, wild cosmic synths, and a sunset Balearic ARP Solina finish to the track. But most importantly, Matt’s live drums 🥁 give this remix a deeply syncopated funky pocket. Recorded 2021, mixing 2022, release 2023. — @chuckdafonk by @oneeramusic
