Cheers to an amazing first year of One Foot Forward Coaching!

I founded One Foot Forward on June 10, 2024 in an attempt to redefine “greatness” in running - which is currently focused on being THE best…the first…the fastest…the best of the best.

I believe greatness to be in the athletes who know they’ll never be in the spotlight for “greatness”, often times finishing races with spectators long gone, confetti already on the ground, leaning on their pure grit, perseverance, and love of the sport to get the job done. THAT is greatness.

Cheers to everyone who has supported, encouraged, believed in, stood by, and trusted in One Foot Forward near and afar. Your enthusiasm keeps me going and I am honored to support you each and every day.

And boy oh boy is my faith restored! One Foot Forward cheered on 29+ athletes in yesterday’s marathon. The cheer squad came ready to rock mile 19.5. Not only did we cheer, but we hand massage guns, biofeeeze, ice, tissues, wet wipes to the ready. We passed soda, Gatorade, water, pretzels, chips, cookies, sandwiches, candy…and other necessary items to help people get through THE WALL of the marathon.

What I love most is staying in the dark, after the sweeper bus passes and the official aid is gone…and helping the final athletes through. When they see us, we’re their first support for miles! We give them what they need to conquer The Bronx and the final 10k.

Congratulations to all of the marathon finisher and special thanks to the best cheer squad a coach could ask for!

Last stop on my trip was Windsor for some family time. I met up with Gurdip and we attended a family wedding reception.

Typical English weather - sun, cool breeze, and lots of rain! The weather gave me 3 different run experiences even though 2 of them were the same route. I’m so grateful that with a pair of running shoes I can get outside and explore!

I wanted to fit in a strengths class but didn’t have time - but made sure I did extra mobility work and dynamic stretching to keep me loose!

And now I’m back im the states - 10 days and 6 runs later. Im happy I was able to work out abroad and see bits of the countries I was in.

Stop 2 on my European tour visiting my dear friend Genevieve in her home of Lisbon, Portugal.

The theme of this stop was food, friends, and fun! We spent two whole days filling our souls talking, sharing, manifesting, and dreaming…with lots of gummy candy on the side! (Not pictured)

I enjoyed a morning run around the city, and walking around on the beautiful tiled streets; I added in mobility by leading a virtual 1:1 strengths class and demoing a strengths routine for Genevieve (she wanted to know how to maintain her fitness for her recent 16 day hike - more on that to come!)

But in addition to movement, I also rested and enjoyed a 90 minute massage. A gift of being active is also celebrating stillness and restoration.

I’m now off to the UK for stop 3! Family time, visiting London, and some gym classes are in store. What’s your favorite vacation activity?

First stop on my trip to Europe…DUBLIN!

Visiting Chris and Mike who moved to Ireland last year. We had 3 days of activity and exploring. Chris even put together 2 really fun running routes - you know I love a good running route.

A very active and relaxing weekend spending time with friends!

We hiked, ran, walked, and ate!

This past Saturday we had beautiful weather and took in the sights of Brooklyn and Manhattan as we completed a run/walk for our 15 mile long run.

With the small group on Saturday we ran, walked, and talked….about the marathon, our love of New York, favorite restaurants, long run fuelings, and more.

A great way to spend a Saturday if you ask me!

We’re less than 3 weeks from marathon day! And starting November 7, we move into our mini series! Come join us.

I. AM. AN. IRONMAN!

9.19.26 - a year in the making for:

🏊‍♀️ 2.4 miles
🚲 112 miles
🏃‍♀️ 26.2 miles

I felt strong and comfortable all day. Kicking off the weekend with friends and first timers, expo, and shake out workouts on the course. I spent all of Friday prepping and relaxing for go time.

My time goal was to break 15 hours and I did with a 14:45:54.

My experience goal was to have fun and enjoy every section of the course and I did! I kept a steady pace in the choppy water and biked 58 miles straight without stopping. My run was slightly under fueled but I leaned on my training and run/walk strategy to get me through. And chicken broth at mile 23 may have helped also.

Friends were cheering me on at the finish and I rang the hell out of that first timers bell! I forgot to stop at the top of the finish line (it’s so bright it’s hard to see!)

It’s so hard to put this day into a minute video and small caption so know that more is coming! For now I’m enjoying the victory!!

The Saturday Long Run Crew has been busy!

September 19 = 18 miles
October 3 = 20 miles

For both of these long runs, we broke the course in 4 sections, each with a fuel break in between. We focused on conversational pace running, and taking walk breaks when needed.

Smiles for miles and really learning the NYC marathon course! We celebrate our first timer marathons and have fun along the way. This past week was really special as Brooke came out to cheer us along the way!

We’re now in taper for the NYC marathon and everyone is looking swell for a great race day
