KOA SMITH JUST DID WHAT?! 🤯🌊

Crowned by the Sea: Pitted at The Wedge.
Comes out clean.
Then goes straight to the sky.

BARREL → EXIT → AIR.

Watch it twice. The ending is ridiculous.

Who else has ever gone barrel-to-air on a drop like this at The Wedge?

“Always try out…take the risk. Worst case, you learn. Best case, it changes your whole life.” Still trying to make the team… 40 years after founding Sideout, Miramar, King of the Beach & King of the Court. 😂🏐

My judges? Legendary UCLA coach Al Scates, wizard of Westwood and beach volleyball GOAT 🐐 Olympian and “The King” his self Sinjin Smith. “The privilege of a lifetime…is being who you are.” - Joseph Campbell

SINJIN SAYS: “Suspect.” AL: “Yeah. I’m retired.” Think I made the cut? 👑🏐

THIS HAPPENED BEFORE SUNRISE. 🌕

No filter. No composite.
Just the moon setting over 13,658-foot Mt. Tom as the Owens Valley waited for sunrise.

Minutes later, everything changed.
