4 weeks ago, I had an epic time running the Nike After Dark Tour with @saraweeruyu & @crystalmer . We had unexpected rain which made it wet & cold, but boy it was the most fun half marathon I’ve ever done!

@nike has always elevated the experience in their events especially when it comes down to Women’s events & this was no exception. We had special race packs for Her which includes an optional Glow-up, dj sets at various points & at iconic locations like the White Bay Terminal where I’ve attended a few Markets, super cool lighting, & a bonus for Sara & I was meeting the man whose voice we’ve listened to, coaching us on the free Nike Running Club app all these years, @coachbennett.

Growing up in Singapore, I’ve never second guessed running in the dark - in the wee hours of the mornings or at night. But it’s something I avoid doing in my current neighbourhood in Sydney. The ADT gives women here the opportunity to feel safe in their city to run the streets, together. For that, I am utterly grateful for the chance to see different parts of Sydney from a different light. I got to hang out with my #sweatsister & her niece, who did her very first race then!

My goal was to run this half with no injuries. Little did I know that I’d be at the start line of another half 4 weeks later, just to see how fast I’d go alone. It wasn’t as fun but I achieved my goal twice & for that, I’m delighted. Time to retire for the year? 😅

Our sweetest boy, Arlo 🤍

We are so heartbroken to share that we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy on Monday night💔

He was the gentlest, sweetest little soul—always asking to be carried, always ready to snuggle into our shoulders, and so happy just being close to us. He loved his belly scratches, being brushed, going on adventures in the caravan, playing with plastic like it was the best toy in the world, and purring away whenever he heard how loved he was.

He was also the clever one of our two cats—the only one who learned tricks, because there was never a treat he would turn down.

Thank you for every cuddle, every purr, every laugh, and every little moment that made our lives better. Our home and our hearts will never be the same without you.

You were such a good, sweet boy. We love you forever and will miss you always. 🤍🐾 by @oneknee

First time in Canberra this weekend. Although I’ve been warned of the colder weather may have, I see & feel the warmth at the @canberrapotters Fired Up event.

We missed signing up for a hand on the pottery wheel, watched how Raku pottery gets fired up live & a little shop around to see the marvellous works done at the centre. Little did I a know that the bowl + soup ($39) & tumbler + drink ($29) was for a fundraiser 🫶🏽 Didn’t expect much but I walked away feeling warm in the gut & heart soaking in the atmosphere of the community. by @oneknee

“I had a concussion” should warrant a bike helmet in a pilates class right?

It’s a long weekend in 🇦🇺
I hit record because the gym was quiet.
What I caught was everything I coach… showing up on my own back.

Because speed reveals power. Control reveals mastery.
Muscles doing exactly what they’re meant to do.

Not everyone wants this look. But I’ll never stop being amazed by what intentional training builds.

This is how I pull myself up.
This is how I pull my goals closer.

Strength shows up when you move with purpose 💪🏽

Happy Gotcha day Arlo boi 💙

Who knew this tiny little runt will be as cuddly, as handsome and massive as you are today. Glad @kathy_nubla didn’t proceed to “return to sender” as she repeatedly said in the first few weeks of having him around. He’s now etched in our hearts forever. May you play with your plastics & cardboards, and be chasing the light & sun always xx
