PA FOLKS - if you’re worried about the impact that data centers could have on our community, please consider signing this petition calling for a statewide 3 year moratorium on the permitting and development of hyperscale data centers. This moratorium would allow legislators and community members to understand the true environmental, community health, and economic impacts of data centers before we agree to build them everywhere. The bipartisan issue that brings us all together is hating AI slop 🥰 What’s the big deal with Data Centers? They house the servers that power AI, and there are plans for 70 proposed data centers in PA, even though 74% of Pennsylvanians polled across the board say they would oppose building an AI data center in their community.AI may seem unavoidable, but it is NOT inevitable. We still have time to let our elected officials know that we do not want Data Centers in our state. Think this smoke is bad? Mayor Parker just announced her plan to burn our trash. You may not smell it, but every day Philly breathes in air made toxic by trash incinerators that burn everything we throw away. If smoke from another country can make our air this unsafe, imagine how often we breathe pollutants from an incinerator down the road in Chester?We can't put out wildfires in Canada. But we can end our dirty deal with trash incinerators that fuel asthma and cancer daily. That's what I am fighting for. by @onepennsylvania

Philadelphia keeps paying millions to burn its trash in Chester as Mayor Cherelle Parker renews the city’s deal with Reworld. Reworld’s PAC donated to Parker’s political committee as the company lobbied to protect those contracts which were threatened by citizens speaking out and against the pollution.Pollution doesn’t respect city lines. It travels. The same pollution that burdens Chester contributes to the climate crisis that’s bringing more dangerous heat and flooding to Philadelphia!Who benefits when public money keeps flowing to polluters?
