Ever since we opened over eight years ago, we’ve dreamt of serving truly great coffee alongside phenomenal pastries—the kind that could rival those we’ve enjoyed in Reykjavík and Copenhagen.

One pastry in particular has always eluded us: the cardamom bun. When done properly, it’s fluffy, sweet and ridiculously good—but we’d never found one in Liverpool that quite hit the spot. Until now.

Thanks to @thebutterholic, these beauties will be joining our pastry line-up every weekend from today. 🥐 taken in One Percent Forest by @onepercentforest

Wishing our new neighbours @villagecatwoolton a huge congratulations on their opening weekend. They’ve done wonders with the old Coast site and are a great addition to the village. We’ve got a couple of tasty cats of our own in our wine fridges with the (now iconic) Space Cat bottles of rosé 🍾🐈‍⬛ taken in One Percent Forest by @onepercentforest

It’s so hot tomorrow that even our iced coffees are melting. 🫠

As much as we’d love to keep serving iced coffees all day, the comfort and wellbeing of our team has to come first.

We’ll be closing early at 12pm Thursday to avoid the hottest part of the day and give our staff a chance to escape the heat.

Get your coffee fix early, grab an iced latte (or two), and we’ll be back to normal service from Friday morning.

WOW! Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate our 8th birthday, we really wouldn't be what we are without you guys, we're so lucky to be part of such a special community.

Powered by iced coffee, video games, and the 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 pint of Guinness.

When he’s not behind the bar making sure everything runs smoothly, he’s probably listening to Kendrick Lamar, talking about a game you’ve never heard of, or showing off that he can do the worm (ask him to show you, we’ve only just found out ourselves).

Listen, I love a toasted sandwich just as much as the next guy but when the sun’s cracking the flags there’s only one thing for it - our HARPA sandwich. Named after the iconic music hall in Reykjavik, it’s made up of halloumi, harissa aioli, pesto, avocado + rocket served on soft Plattsville sourdough and it’ll hit the spot.

Easter Sunday. Doing absolutely nothing but doing it properly. Coffee in hand, avocado on toast, maybe a @thebutterholic pastry if you’ve already rinsed the chocolate stash. 🐣
