At some point of my pregnancy I was really craving for Taiwanese soy milk, which I managed to have near my home not far from Gotanda station. This isn’t common to find in Tokyo, so I was really lucky I could satisfy that craving! I also managed to try their version of tofu porridge and flaky savoury pastry, lovely.

They also sell other Taiwanese breakfast food such as fried bean paste buns and glutinous rice rolls. Usually there’s a small queue but it runs quickly.

Tried my hand at making pasta from scratch. I referred to a recipe that didn’t have the right ratio for me and I ended up with a sloppy mess that I managed to fix. Now I have too much pasta dough! It was also my first time handling a pasta maker and boy was it a piece of work! I did 3 types of pasta dishes:

1) Tagiolini with spinach and arugula pesto sauce and a touch of lemon
2) Pappardelle with braised beef brisket ragu and cream
3) Tagiolini with prawns in lemon herb butter sauce

High protein office lunch prep with chicken breast, tofu, a jammy egg atop an avocado tomato salad, multigrain rice, cucumbers, broccoli and lettuce with a simple vinaigrette.

I started weight training recently and I’ve been told by my nutritionist that I don’t have enough protein in my diet, it can be hard for me as half or more of my week is mostly vegetarian. And since I started exercising more and for my low blood pressure, I’ve been a bit more mindful of including certain foods in my diet especially meat, fish, eggs and specific vegetables! by @oneplatesituation

Egg sandos for the holiday!
Marinated eggs overnight and used it in place of a typical hard boiled egg alongside the egg mayo. Got some fluffy white bread from Pullman Japanese bakery, but I think it would have been really great too with a French brioche!

Tomato pasta with wild garlic butter. I got some nice tomatoes on a vine from the neighborhood fruit shop, so much cheaper than the supermarket. The garlic butter was made a while ago just blitzing up some wild garlic, lemon zest, salt and French butter. A little bit sweet, with a tang from the lemon. Lovely, garlicky taste. So good 🤌🏼😘
