60 Days ‘Til Halloween

The air turns cold, thin and still,
A burlap smile, which gives you chills
Porch lights flicker, pumpkins stare,
Something wicked fills the air!

Sixty sunsets left to burn,
Then shadows twist and take their turn.
Listen close, you’ll hear the fear,
Footsteps soft... Sam is near,

Sixty sunrises, sixty nights,
When porch lights glow with orange lights,
Jack-o-lanterns with a wicked gleam,
To light the best night ever seen.

*Until the Meadow Calls Me Home to You.”
Mya Colón

First there was one, then there were two,
Two gentle hearts we loved and knew.
Now there are none by our side today,
Yet our love does not just fade away.

Our hearts grieve for you, deep and true,
For every quiet night without you two.
The house feels so still, the hallways bare,
Without your fluffy paws and loving stare.

They say that heaven has fields so wide,
With sunlit paths where angels guide.
So when the world grows dark and cold,
We shall feel your warmth in memories of old.

Go run now my girls, free of hurt or pain,
Through those meadows kissed by gentle rain.
Chase the butterflies, and sleep in the sun,
Till the day our lives are done.

For first there was one, then there were two,
And someday we’ll be back with you.
Only then, no more tears, no more goodbyes,
Just wagging tails beyond the bluest skies.

Please wait for me, where flowers bloom,
In heaven’s wide, celestial loam.
And when my time on earth is through,
I promise, I’ll find my way back home to you.

Now, I will honor you both my baby girls. by @onepoorrican

A warrior fierce, in such a tiny frame,
You fought lymphoma’s dark cruel game.
With a courage so bold, and a spirit so strong,
You battled hard, with such grace and such form.

And though treatments failed, and days grew tough,
Your will to live, was overwhelmingly enough.
You held your head high, until the very end,
And I held back the words, that my heart will never mend.

Now your absence echoes, in a hollow space,
But in our hearts, your love will find its place.
Sweet baby Girl, may your journey be free,
May love and joy be your guide, wild and carefree.

We’ll miss you more than words can say,
But know, my Baby Girl, that we’ll meet again, on a much brighter day.

I will never be the same. But I will always honor your memory. by @onepoorrican

Like the branches of a tree, we may grow apart, but our roots remain connected, entwined in love and unity.

Unite Collab — Together we stand

When the world feels unbearably loud, we answer with light. This collab celebrates the tiny moments that have the power to change everything: friends and families sharing warmth, strangers offering kindness, enemies choosing dialogue over violence, and children opening our eyes with their innocence.

Where the whispers of pharaohs echo through eternity, the serpents of the Nile slither at my feet, bearing witness to the secrets I've uncovered. Listen well mere mortals, for the gods have entrusted me with a message - balance darkness and light, lest chaos consume us all …

Moonlight glows, a witch takes flight
Riding her broom, in the silvery light
Her curves entice, as she weaves her spell
With tombstone herbs and dirt from hell!

But down below, in the shadows dark
Another witch stirs, with a sinister spark
Collecting bones and skin with deadly care
You’re the main course, in her wicked lair

Beware, dear mortals, of their wily guile
For in their clutches, you’ll loose your smile
With a wicked grin, both witches delight
As they cackle and cast you into the night!
