One of my favorite things about sending my kids to camp is when they actually come home and WANT to tell me about their day. 😂

That was One River.

Every day, they had something new to show me, something they learned, something they made, or something they wanted to tell me about. They were creating incredible things, learning about art in ways they hadn’t before, hanging out with other creative kids, and genuinely having such a good time.

And maybe the best review of all? They were already talking about what classes they wanted to try next. 👀🎨

I really loved seeing how comfortable and excited they were there. If you have a kid who loves making things, drawing, building, cosplay, anime, design, or just being creative, definitely take a look at what One River offers.

One River has a TON of different classes and several locations around Long Island, and honestly, a class would make such a great holiday gift for the kid you have absolutely no idea what to buy. And don’t forget — they have adult classes too, so this is absolutely not just for the kids. 👀

And yes, my boys are already making plans for what they want to take next summer. 😂

*One River gifted my kids one week of camp in exchange for sharing our experience. All opinions and enthusiasm are very much my own.

Join us in welcoming our newest franchise partner, Kush Saxena.

Kush is a Plano, TX resident, a One River dad, and now our newest franchise partner. Having watched what One River Frisco did for his own family, he wanted more families across the metroplex to have that too.

So he’s bringing it to them! Kush will open several new One River schools across Dallas-Fort Worth over the next three years, starting in Spring 2027.

He brings 20 years of senior leadership at Texas Instruments and Astera Labs, time as a Leadership Coach at UT Austin, and a steadfast commitment to local educators. In 2025 he founded XYF, a foundation that supports K-12 teachers across North Texas.

In Kush’s words:
“One River School will give children, teens and adults across DFW a place to build creativity, skills, and confidence through the visual arts, while creating meaningful teaching and career opportunities for local artists and educators.”

“Kush Saxena represents the kind of partner we are looking to work with as we continue to expand our mission of transforming art education nationwide.” – Agnes Mauro, CEO

Some of our best partners start out as One River families. Welcome to the team, Kush!

SPRING/BREAK was the perfect way for our team to connect. Everyone had a unique perspective on what they enjoyed about the NYC show and which artworks sparked curiosity in them.

One overarching takeaway was the sense of community. Having the opportunity to converse with new and emerging artists, talk about the inspiration behind some of the work, as well as spend time with one another, were highlights for most of us.

We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and looking forward to our next One River team outing!
