Venezuela was already in a Humanitarian Crisis, two mega earthquakes later, the situation is apocalyptic. 2 days later, already almost 1000 deaths and thousands remain missing.

* First aid supplies (bandages, antiseptic wipes, gauze, gloves)
* Over-the-counter medications (pain relievers, allergy medicine, anti-diarrheal medication, oral rehydration salts)
* Baby essentials (diapers, wipes, bottles, formula)
* Blankets and bedding
* New or gently used clothing and shoes
* Flashlights, batteries, and portable phone chargers
* Cleaning supplies (disinfectant, bleach, trash bags, paper towels)

My heart has been heavy lately. Too much suffering, too much pain, too many lives lost. But at the same time, this is when you see God acting before your eyes. That lady organizing donations, that man bringing a case of water, the driver taking the supplies to the airport; I see Jesus in all of you. I see love, love which is stronger than hate, stronger than grief, love that heals.

If there’s one thing I learned this week and would like to share with everyone, is that we are blessed and lucky to live the lives that we have.

You can complain about your job, but you have a job. Complain about your car breaking down, but you have a car. Argue with your spouse or parent, but you have family with you.

Take a second to look around you, and say out loud all the things that make you happy.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to all those who donated and helped whichever way. It means the world to me and my people 🇻🇪🙏

After an incredible journey, it’s time to say goodbye.

Veteran Brew, a veteran-owned and operated coffee shop, will be closing its physical location inside Porky’s Backyard in Humble, Texas.

☕ Our final day of service is Monday, June 29, from 7:00 AM–1:00 PM.

We want to finish the same way we started: by bringing our community together for a greater purpose.

As we close this chapter, we’re collecting donations for families affected by the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. If you’re stopping by for one last cup of coffee, we’d love for you to consider bringing any of the following:

• Non-perishable food (canned goods, rice, pasta, beans, baby food)
• Hygiene products (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, diapers, baby wipes)
