What started as a love for braiding has grown into a passion for all things hair. I love creating looks that are timeless, versatile, and tailored to each client, while continuously pushing my creativity and refining my craft.

Great honour meeting Mark Direen and experiencing his powerful exhibition which included photographs captured during his military service and alongside other servicemen who documented life through the lens. Stories of service, adventure and perspective that truly stay with you.

His reflections and journey are captured in his book What’s the Point? - definitely one I’ll be grabbing soon. If you’re curious about living with more intention and chasing meaningful experiences, you can grab a copy from his website too.

Because in the end, life should be measured by experiences, not time.

Pictured here is Uncle Glen Timbery of the Wooloongang people, standing before an image of his late great ancestor, Pemulwuy — one of the most significant Aboriginal resistance fighters of the colonial era. Pemulwuy is remembered for his strong resistance to British colonisation following the arrival of the First Fleet in January 1788, and the Sydney suburb of Pemulwuy is named in his honour.

I had the great honour of being shown around Uncle Glen’s museum in La Perouse, where he generously shared ancient artefacts and stories of deep cultural significance. I was also privileged to tour the Australian Museum with him to view memorabilia connected to his late ancestors.

It is truly an honour to work alongside you, Uncle Glen, and the Wooloongang community, as you continue to protect and uphold your ancestors’ culture in the face of ongoing misinformation and cultural appropriation.

Wishing Uncle Glen a very happy birthday.
