What a powerful night Fam! At our ADE fundraiser with Marimba Amsterdam and @ongodbytries at @pacific.bynight, we raised €1003 for the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo. All donations will go to @focuscongo to help communities rebuild, protect their land, and defend against violence. ✊🏿

We’re beyond thankful for everyone who showed up, danced, donated, and stood with us for the DRC. Special thanks to @pacific.bynight for giving us their space during such an important week. 💛

This is just the beginning. We will keep pushing for justice and human rights. Stay tuned for our On God by Tries x Marimba t-shirt drop, coming soon!

Join us on October 16th at 7 PM CEST for a night of music and solidarity with Marimba Amsterdam, @ongodbytries, and @pacific.bynight. Bring your old electronics for recycling, donate to support those impacted by this crisis, or simply dance with us 📣.

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 🇨🇩 provides many of the minerals used in our electronics, but at a devastating human cost. Entire communities suffer under inhumane conditions—children and adults are forced to work in dangerous, toxic mines for little or no pay, facing exploitation and violence. They endure lives stripped of the joy of dancing, celebrating, and connecting as human beings.

As we kick off the iconic @amsterdamdanceevent, let’s take a moment to raise awareness for those who can’t dance freely.

Marimba Amsterdam presents the full, powerful lineup for our ADE Congo Fundraiser, in collaboration with @ongodbytries and @pacific.bynight, on October 16th.
This event is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action. As we dance freely in Amsterdam, millions in the Democratic Republic of Congo endure daily struggles in inhumane conditions. Together, we aim to raise funds and awareness for their plight ✊🏾

Tune in at 7PM via livestream or RSVP in bio for the live experience at Pacific AMS (Westerpark). Donations can be made both online and offline, and we’ll soon announce the fund we’re supporting to ensure every cent reaches the Congolese people who need it most.

On the 16th of October, we gather for a special event—a fundraiser for Congo, raising awareness while we dance.

We’ve held a short, deep interview discussing the importance of this effort, the heritage that drives it, and how Marimba x OngodbyTries are making a positive impact.
All funds raised will be donated to a trustable charity to support the ongoing struggle of the people of Congo.

We choose Patricia Lumumba for the tee because he is a symbol for freedom in Congo and other parts of the world. He was an African nationalist and pan-Africanist, he played a significant role in the transformation of the Congo from a colony of Belgium into an independent republic. If they didn’t murder him the Congo of today would have looked different.

This shirt is collaboration with the Party “Kumata for Congo” by @kumata.offline this will be on 29-6-24 at @garagenoord
