We met alot of promising Shaw Bears at the Infinite Scholars Virginia College Fair on Saturday!

Not only was the fair great, the location was beautiful! The Virginia Main Street Amtrak Station was the perfect backdrop to meet our future bears! Special thank you to the Richmond Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for hosting such a dynamic fair!

Let’s Go Shaw U!! 🔥🔥🐻

TELL YOUR ADMISSIONS DIRECTOR GET IN THE FIELD! 🗣️📸🐻

Ms. Blevins said BET! 😂

Our Director of Admissions was OUTSIDE capturing student life and getting some shots of our Greek Organization students! 📸❤️🤍

At Shaw U, Admissions isn’t just behind the desk — we’re on campus, in the mix, and experiencing the Shaw U culture right alongside our students!

Now THAT’S getting in the field! 🐻🔥

Today was all about THE HBCU EXPERIENCE! 🎓🐻❤️

I had the opportunity to represent Shaw University as your 2026–2027 Mister Homecoming at the 11th Annual HBCU College Fair hosted by the Sigma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® 💗💚

Not only was I invited to serve as a panelist for the HBCU Experience, but I also got to put on my Admissions hat and serve as a Student Admissions Counselor—talking with future college students, answering questions, and sharing what makes the Shaw U experience so special! 🐻

Being able to tell students about HBCU culture, leadership, community, and the opportunities that have helped shape my own journey was definitely a full-circle moment.

Special thank you to my Dean of Students, Dr. Jillian Jackson, and our Senior Director of Communications & Marketing, Mrs. Genesis Doublebee, for extending this invitation and opportunity to me. Both are proud members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and I’m grateful for the ways they continue to pour into me and create opportunities for students like myself. 💗💚

Any chance I get to represent the FIRST HBCU in the South, I’m taking it! ❤️🤍🐻

WELCOME TO SHAW UNIVERSITY. 🐻♥️

We sat down with Oniska Blevins from Shaw University Admissions to learn more about the student experience—from the student-to-faculty ratio and campus life to the opportunities available beyond the classroom.

Before we got to Match Day, we wanted to understand what makes Shaw feel like home.

Thank you to Ms. Blevins for welcoming HBCU FC and helping us introduce the university behind our second Match Day Tour stop. ⚽️
