Celebrating Timeless Era's in Music 🎵
Monthly Events & Immersive Experiences 🌐

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

To start the year right, we’re throwing a free community Pop Up event, This Sunday at Ponsonby Social Club!

ONLY. G-Funk (The Re-Run) 🎹✨

G-Funk — short for gangsta funk — emerged in the early ’90s on the West Coast, defined by deep basslines, smooth synths & heavy use of the Talkbox, made popular by the laid-back, lowrider grooves rooted in 70s and 80s funk. G-Funk blends hip-hop storytelling with the Soul of Funk.

Pioneered by legends like Nate Dogg, Snoop, Warren G, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, and inspired by Funk OGs Parliament Funkadelic, Zapp & Roger, Bootsy Collins, and Sly & the Family Stone — this sunday we celebrate the roots, the evolution, and the lifestyle of G-Funk.

Pull up to PSC, for a Sunday Sesh like no other & join us in paying homage to an Underrated Genre that is G-Funk 🔒💯🏁
