Where do I begin!
We’ve been inseparable from the very start! You have always made me feel like a movie star even when we were just kids. My Jheri curl was awful just horrible but you made me believe it was the coolest hairstyle anyone could have. My cabbage patch glasses weren’t exactly what an 8 year old dreamed of wearing yet somehow you made me feel like they were diamonds on my face. You always love my style, so passing down my things to you was easy. I don’t think you realize you gave me confidence in myself. Thank you for being my first cheerleader.

We’ve shared so many incredible memories that it’s impossible to name them all. One of my favorite will always be the night we saw the same shooting star 💫 and of course, we both share the same favorite person, who could hardly tell our voices apart most of the time. Then there was the day you met your goddaughter for the first time! The bond between you two was instant! It was as if she already knew you. In that moment, I knew God was giving me a sign that you were the best choice to be Chloé’s godmother!

Chloe’s love of perfumes and scented lotions definitely comes from you. Chloe’s love of anime was introduced by you, and her love for dogs came from you. Polly was her first doggie love. Later, Karen and you gifted Chloe with Lexi! Chloe’s dream of visiting Japan was inspired by hearing all the stories of your time living there. I can go on and on about the incredible impact you have had on her life. I am grateful that I chose you to love, guide, and cherish Chloe just as I do!

Thank you for bringing the family together to celebrate Chloe graduating from high school and preparing to enter college and real adulthood. It was truly beautiful and the best gift we both could have as for! The love, support, loyalty, and generosity you have always shown both of us means so much more than these words!

We love you so much and no thank you could fully capture how grateful we are to have you in our lives!!!!

Thank you for being my sister by heart, my bestie, my cousin, and God’s greatest blessings!

Thank you so much for being my family away from home. From the very first day we met, I felt like we had a special bond that connected us beyond our children.

We’ve shared so many incredible memories and traveled the world together. Japan and Australia will always be two of my favorite adventures with you. Through the years, you’ve shown me so much and taught me so many valuable lessons as I’ve grown into this half-century season of my life.

Thank you for being not only my sister but also one of my dearest friends. Thank you for giving Chloe two siblings—the best of both worlds! I’m so grateful that I got to learn from you through every stage of Chloe’s school years. Your friendship, wisdom, and support have meant more than you’ll ever know.

We love you so much, and we’re incredibly thankful to have you as part of our family. Thank you for always being there. Here’s to many more memories, adventures, and years of sisterhood. ❤️

The first week of high school, we’ve been down like two flat tires ever since! 😂 Every time we get together, it’s nothing but laughs and good times.

One of my favorite memories is when Natalie let you drive her car without a license! We went everywhere, and somehow none of us was even scared back then. 😂

We’ve never argued or gone through an “I’m not talking to her” phase. We both had significant others in high school, but we never let anyone come between our friendship. Some people come, and some people go, but through it all, you’ve always been my person.

It’s funny how life works. Every major life-changing event you went through, I was right behind you going through the same thing. From becoming moms around the same time to watching our kids grow up together—God truly blessed us. Every time Chloe and I came home (Detroit), she always had someone to play with and grow up alongside her. I’m so grateful our kids became friends ❤️

We’ve shared so many amazing memories together, from our teenage years to adulthood. I can truly say you have always been, and always will be, my best friend and my sister.

Everyone deserves a friend like you—no matter how much time has passed, we can pick up right where we left off, laughing like it was yesterday.

I love you so much and appreciate you more than words can say. Here’s to a lifetime of more memories. Forever my bestie, forever my sister. ❤️

Dear Sis,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you thank you for being there. Growing up was hard but you made it and always tried to be there for me from my first car to my apartment in the Atl and more!

I also want to thank you for coming to your niece’s graduation. I know it wasn’t easy, and I know you didn’t really have the extra funds to make the trip, but you came anyway because you cared. That meant so much especially to her. Having you there made the day even more special.

Thank you for always making an effort to be a good aunt. I see how much you care about your niece, and I know she see it too. Your love, support, and willingness to show up for her never go unnoticed.

I’m grateful to have a sister like you. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make, for your big heart, and for being such an important part of our lives.
