I am proud to share that GANJ: The Treasures of Shah Jo Risalo, for which I had the privilege of serving as WRITER & SCREENPLAY & DESIGN has won an award at the Documentaries Without Borders International Film Festival and is embarking on an exciting international journey.

With its international festival selections, including Toronto International Film Festival, The Newyork Indie Film Festival, South Asian Film Festival London and KIFF, the film is taking the timeless wisdom of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai beyond geographical and cultural boundaries. Its presence on the international stage marks an important step towards bringing Sindh’s extraordinary literary, philosophical and spiritual heritage to a wider global audience.

Created with passion by the dedicated team at Junejo Films, Shamim Junejo and Farooq Pareo as producers, Kamran Khan , Director, GANJ is more than a documentary. It is an invitation to rediscover a great poet whose vision of humanity, courage, love and the dignity of women remains profoundly relevant today.

The journey has only just begun. New horizons await. As GANJ begins to make its way through international festival circles, the treasures of Shah Jo Risalo are preparing to travel the world.
