As I prepare to graduate on May 9th, 2026, from The Miles College “Home of the Golden Bears,” with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Homeland Security ,I am overwhelmed with gratitude and reflection. This journey began in August 2022, when I was just 18 years old, stepping onto campus with a dream in my heart and a vision for my future.💜💛

This path has been one of resilience, heartbreak, and unwavering faith. I lost my beloved uncle during my first semester—an unimaginable pain that forced me to pause and heal. There were days I felt like giving up, but I carried his memory and love in my heart, pushing forward even when it was hard. As a first-generation college student, I felt the weight of making my family proud, as well as honoring those who didn’t have the chance or opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Through the tears and trials, I found hope in my love for creativity and digital design, building my business around campus and even in my hometown and turning my pain into purpose. During my junior year, I also lost my hero—my grandad—the strongest man I’ve ever known. He would have given me the shirt off his back, always lifting me with his strength and love. His spirit continues to inspire me to be better every day.

This achievement is more than a degree; it’s a testament to perseverance, faith, and the power of never giving up. This is only the beginning. Can’t stop Greatness!!!! Grad School here I come.👏🏾
