POSTS STORIES REELS

A story about an immigrant father facing deportation and the devastating trauma his family is forced to confront as they struggle through the pain of separation.

Last year taught me to slow down and focus on stories that truly matter to me — stories about compassion, morality, and the messy gray areas of life.

I write from a different place now, and that’s reflected in the work I want to create.

To everyone who supported this project, thank you. It means a lot.

Great cast. Great crew! @griffindavis_ @zoeanisee @talki @matts_kamera @mua.jediah @m.mcallister @benjaminsturley @hustlestandard @pero_dime_ytu by @onlydrewhernandez

Many people don’t know this but the past year and a half has been rough.
For most of my life I called life on my terms, anything I wanted to do I did it. Success and failure, whichever came first I faced it boldly. The sky was the limit for me.
My daughter was born and everything changed… Love like I’ve never felt before. My family/wife, the sense of responsibility and accountability presented right in front of me.
My daughter’s name is Clarity, I prophesied her in a dream years ago before I met my wife. I didn’t know why but I do now.
My conduct and behavior growing up, selfishly looking after my own interest has cast a light brighter than I’d ever imagine and it was through my daughter that made me ashamed of the man I was. The clarity I needed to see my wrongdoings has been a heavy toll I continue to battle with today.
So many days I grow tired and weak and I just want to sit on my couch and do nothing. But I remind myself how can I look at my daughter and tell her to chase her dreams if Daddy gave up on his. How do I tell her there are good men out there if my behavior to my wife doesn’t set that example. How can I say be responsible if I never had to face my accountability.
I am a broken a man but I am trying to fix that space in me, sometimes through God because there’s only so much I can do on my own.
And if in the future I failed, I can look at today and say I tried to be a little better than yesterday.

This one special. This short will be the first feature I direct hopefully next year about a father desperately in search of his missing daughter who exposes a deeply connected child trafficking organization and his detective wife hunting the masked vigilante the city is calling Sinnerman. The story deserves to be a series but I don’t have the budget for that so we gonna shoot a feature and start planning for the sequel - nevertheless, can’t wait to shoot this 🔥 by @onlydrewhernandez

It’s an absolute honor to share the red carpet with these talented individuals. I was overwhelmed with emotions hearing the applause of the theater after the film played and especially proud of the work put into it. I edited and colored this film so I’ve seen it a thousand times 😭 but watching it in a room full of movie goers and filmmakers felt like the first time watching it and that moment for me was everything. ❤️

More than paper is a story about a father facing deportation and the impact it leaves on his family. This is a reality for many families. It’s one thing to have a belief on a policy it’s another thing to agree with how it’s being done.

Whatever side you land on this is a conversation starter from a perspective that isn’t being told. Through the eyes of a child.
