Nearing the end of my internship with OAC head coach @thomas30acker , assistant coach Vincent Guyot and the amazing team of athletes.
I'm grateful for the chance to be part of this experience. A huge thank you goes to Thomas for giving me this opprotunity and to the athletes who welcomed me and made me feel part of the team. Every session was packed with insights I'll cary forward, and I'm excited to put it all into practice both as a coach and as an athlete🔥

1500m Nationals - Podium 🥉+ PB (4:04.17) ?! WHAAAT?!🥹

This day, this race, this time meant/means so much to me.

It shows me (and maybe to some of you too) that no matter how many setbacks you incurre, be it injuries, sickness or mental health problems, nothing lasts forever, everything is temporary.

If I think back 3 years ago what the doc said to me after my diagnosis, that I should step aside from track. Who would have thought that this day would come? I hadn't! I couldn't imagine a life without running, so I didn't quit and continued to do what was in my ability at the time.

My Training evolved from:

Zero running & only alternative training (🏊‍♂️🏋‍♂️🤸‍♂️🧗‍♂️🚴‍♂️ 🛼)
to
painfull test-runs
to
Some painfree runs
to
Mostly painfree runs (That's where I am now!)

If it's one thing I've learned about injuries, it's that you have to embrace them, live with them, adapt to them and see them as part of the process. I believe injuries are the best teachers about ourselfs and our bodies. Opposing yourself to them or ignoring them, will slow you down. Treat them like your babies😉

A track race and running with zero pain is all I want.
So Happy to say that I run painfree since over a month now.
And who knows...maybe I finally do my first outdoor season since 2019
But I'm in no rush:)

Super satisfied about the great work the youngsters showed during our training camp in Spain.
We had an amazing training atmosphere which is a prerequisite for individual progress!

Outdoor-Season is around the corner. Excited to see some 🔥 performances!
