Does the word “contract” make you nervous? It shouldn’t! Contracts are your protective shield for ideas and a clear map for shared success. Read article: Link in bio. by @onlyunclemo
WIPO sent something beautiful! 🎉😎 Between July and October 2024, Moses Calceus one of Africa’s on the rise handmade leather brand I proudly lead was selected as one of 22 small businesses to participate in the WIPO Project on IP for SMEs in the Indigenous Fashion and Craft Industries in Nigeria, organized by the WIPO Nigeria Office (WNO) in collaboration with the Nigerian Copyright Commission. Through my participation on behalf of the brand, I gained access to tailored IP and business mentoring under WIPO’s IP Management Clinics. Over four months, I deepened my understanding of how to strategically align IP with business goals and build capacity to leverage the IP system more effectively. Grateful for the opportunity to position Moses Calceus for sustainable growth at the intersection of creativity, culture, and intellectual property. #WIPO #MosesCalceus #IntellectualProperty #CreativeEconomy #FashionBusiness #IPForSMEs #MadeInNigeria #IPMatters #AfricanCreatives by @onlyunclemo
Living at the intersection of Law, Leather, and Music, while passionately championing the rights of creatives. Uncle MO🎶⚖️ #UncleMO🎶⚖️ by @onlyunclemo
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we the Agegenu Family, announce the passing of our dearly beloved Moses Oluwasegun Agegenu. (Uncle Mo), who peacefully departed this life in July following complications from his second brain surgery after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. Moses was far more than the accomplished lawyer, entrepreneur, and creative visionary many admired. He was a devoted son, a cherished brother, a trusted mentor, and a loyal friend whose kindness, wisdom, humility, and generosity left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who knew him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy, his light, and the countless lives he touched will continue to live on in our hearts forever. Rest peacefully, Uncle Mo. ❤️‍🩹🕊️ Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed by @onlyunclemo
This June I am on Musing with Leesi in collaboration with FIMFAST, talking about my role in the creative industry, what chaos in music actually feels like, and how creatives can stay organised and protected. Shoutout to @drtonez for putting me on and @leesipatrick2 for the great conversation. Follow our pages to catch the full episode and contribute to the discussion. Great conversations build great ecosystems and I strongly believe every one of us has a part to play. #musingswithleesi #fimfast #creativeindustry by @onlyunclemo
If Inner Temple calls ten times, I will answer a hundred! That’s not just loyalty, it’s tradition. Had an incredible time at my Alma Mater last week alongside my brothers @kingpexxie @melvinthewave and the incomparable @kofo_folashade, a true force in Afrobeats. Hope OOU treated you all well 😅 Big kudos to @tcjsummit and @innertemple_oou for putting together a summit that actually meant something. My hope is that the conversation doesn’t stay in that hall, that it follows the students out and shapes the kind of polymorphous, boundary-pushing lawyers they wish to become. And yes, I had to collect my lapel first. Because that’s not just an accessory. That’s culture. #onebighappyfamily❤️ #absoluteloyalty #innertempleoou by @onlyunclemo

MEET YOUR SPEAKER🫵🏻! Moses Oluwasegun Agegenu is an entertainment lawyer and IP strategist based in Lagos, Nigeria, with over six years of experience at the intersection of law, creativity, and the business of culture. As a co-founding partner at TL Partners LLP, he has built a practice that serves artists, producers, brands, and digital platforms drafting and negotiating contracts, protecting intellectual property, and structuring deals across music, fashion, and culture. He has represented talents including Kida-Kudz, Jhay2unez, Tizzy YRN, and LARRYVIBEZ, a singer and songwriter, navigating everything from recording and publishing agreements to management and licensing frameworks. He is also the founder of Moses Calceus, a handmade leather goods brand, and the co-founder of WYWRD, a Lagos street-wear label. Both ventures came from the same conviction that drives his legal work: that creatives deserve the tools to own what they build. Moses is a writer who publishes on Sub-stack, where he breaks down the business and legal side of the creative industries in plain language. He is committed to educating artists, producers, and fellow practitioners building an informed ecosystem. An alumnus of great Olabisi Onabanjo University who served as Public Relations Officer, Librarian 1, Librarian 2 and the Disciplinary Committee Chairman of Inner Temple. by @onlyunclemo
